Bling Bling Nails For CNY!

Once again, CNY is the time for me to dress up my nails again!! Hehee... For many times I have wanted to book an appointment with a manicure shop to get my nails extensions on. But in fact, I already have long nails myself, just that they are not long enough to my expectation and not as strong as the extended ones coz my nails often chips off when it grows up to a certain length.

Anyway, in order to save up the $100 to $150 and I was lazy to sit at the manicure shop for hours so as to get the nail extensions done, I decided not to go. Instead I chose to DIY the nail art on my own nails.

At first I was kinda clueless on the colours to use and design to be created... but in the end I got some inspirations from those nail art magazines which I bought previously! It's a pity that I have not master the skills of drawing flowers/ribbons using the acrylic powders, so can only make use of my Swarovski crystals.

Since I am wearing a pink top on the first day of CNY, I chose light pink as the base colour and then added some silver glitters using my Oops! J nail polish. After that then I added on pink and silver crystals on each finger to create the super bling effect!

Tadah~! Here's the end result!

I simply love them, especially shone under very bright white lights or spotlights!! They look super duper bling can!!! I cannot believe that these nails were actually done by myself!! I am so proud of myself bcoz I have never thought that I can be so good at it! I think if I were to get this done at some manicure shop, they would have charged me at least $65 to $90 without extensions. Heee... Don't mind me for being hao lian... I am just so very satisfied with my own skills! =P

Happy Moo Moo Year!!

In another 4 hours and 48 mins, we will be sending off the Rat and welcoming the Ox!! Hmmm... So fast, it will be Chinese New Year already... But actually I don't feel excited about it as compared to the times when I was younger... Hmmm... I think coz I am growing old so fast that I wish that I could turn back the time!

In fact, come to think of it, I do not really look forward towards CNY... coz after CNY, there will be no more public holidays until Good Friday which falls on 10 April... Sianz!! No break for 3 months plus wor... =(

Furthermore, after CNY, I will be having my performance appraisal with my AVP... I don't have a very positive feeling about it lor... Moreover, I have been very unhappy with my AVP for exploiting me with her bias and unfair treatments especially in giving leave approvals! Feel like bao-tohing her to my VP for her bias behaviour... who asked her to bao-toh me to HR for my lateness and always take advantage of me by asking me (and I mean only me coz I sit directly in front of her) to do things for her... she likes to bao-toh and use people so much, I shall do the same to her lah! But on the other hand I am afraid that it will reflect badly on my appraisal since my appraisal is still in the hands of that biatch... so I am still deciding whether to bao-toh or not. Let's see how my appraisal goes and then I decide... If she rates me poorly, I confirm go and bao-toh her! Hiak hiak hiak!!! *Evil laugh* This is called an eye for an eye! Hahahaaa!!! =P

I am so pissed with her that when I left my office on last Friday, I didn't even bother to say bye and wish her Happy Chinese New Year, coz I hope the Year of Moo Moo will be super bad for her! I am very bad hor... but I don't care! Bcoz this is my only channel to vent my dissatisfactions on work-related matters... Ok, enough about that biatch!

Wonder what to wear tomorrow... I have bought many new clothes for the new year but I don't know what to wear coz I think I have grown fatter now... so can easily see my tummy wor... then relatives will tease me for growing fat le... Aiyah, irritating! Actually I find it not as easy to slim down now... think as I grow older, my metabolism rate has becomes slower liao... Jialat...

Okie, time to go paint new colours on my nails for tomorrow liao... Ciaoz! Happy "Niu" Year and Gong Xi Fa Cai to all!! =)

Happy 4th Anniversary To Us!!

Yesterday was our 4th anniversary together! So fast, Deardear and I have been together for 4 years already! Met up with Eileen, Alvin, Fang and Tammie for dinner at Bugis MOF which stands for Ministry of Food. Eileen who has just became a recruitment consultant has become so used to her new job that she kept hearing it as MOM when I repeatedly told her that it is MOF!!! Diaoz... And Alvin heard it as MOS when Eileen told him that we were at MOF. *Faint* No wonder they are a couple! Hahaa...

Oh yah, the service at MOF isn't that good... Coz we were one of the tables that placed our orders just before their last order timing, thus our mains for the set meals came pretty late. While we just started eating the main course, a waitress came over to ask if they could serve us our desserts. We said no and the waitress seems taken aback by the reply. She then said that the ice cream will be changed to a gelato ice cream in this case. So Eileen and Fang told them it was ok to change it but serve later. About 5-10 mins later, another waiter came over to ask if they could serve the desserts again. We told him that we have already informed one of his colleagues to serve them later. Then he walked away... But written on both the waitress and waiter's face, I could tell that they are not very willing to serve the desserts later... coz their faces say "What time do you all (referring to us) want to stay till?? We want to go home leh!"... Poor customer service!

After sending Tammie home, we felt that it was too early to end our anniversary since it was only 11plus and that I am also on leave today, so we went to Changi Airport T3. Hehee... Deardear and I are frequent go-ers to T3. We will go there whenever we have nowhere else to go at night. Heee... Although there's nothing much to do there but it's nice to just walk around in the air-conditioned area and taking the skytrain to the other terminals and back. As we walked around, we found out that the Swensen's at T2 has become 24hours and there's also a 24 hours Ya Kun in T2. Next time if we want to have supper, can consider these places.

408th Engaged Encounter Weekend @ Punggol ME House

I spent my whole of last weekend with Deardear, his sis and sis' bf, participating in the Engaged Encounter weekend. In short, it's called EE weekend. This is a 2.5 days stay-in marriage preparation programme for Catholics or inter-faith couples to attend if they want to hold their wedding in a church, which means we checked-in on Friday night at 7pm and the programme lasted until Sunday evening 6pm. Although we learnt that it was actually not compulsory for all Catholics to attend only after attending it, I had fun there, coz it was a time for me to spend quality time with Deardear where there's no one else to interrupt us!

At first I was not so keen of going for the camp and was worried that I have to sleep alone or share the the room with a stranger. Furthermore, I am not a Catholic, I was scared that they will preached alot about God and stuff like that. But luckily I managed to change my room and slept in the same room with Dear's sis. Other than the Mass, which I had some difficulties understanding the behaviour and words said by the Catholics, I was fine with the overall EE weekend. Anyway, we were told that we are not allowed to blog about the topics and contents discussed during the weekend coz they are copyrighted. Although I am not allowed to reveal more, I just wanna say that it is fun to have couple hugs with the presenting couples!! Hehee...

I was glad that the weekend allowed Deardear and I to discuss about the things which we have never discussed before and that we now know what each other want in our relationship. This weekend also brought us together to become closer and taught us what to do when we gets angry with each other. Generally, it is beneficial to all couples who wants to get married lah! Hmm... I think this weekend also gave me the chance to get to know Deardear's sis better... coz when we cannot sleep on the first night, we spent half the night chit-chatting.

Thanks to Father Joachim for praying with us on Saturday night, the 2 presenting couples - Pat and Lin, Nic and Su for sharing their experiences with us and to the 2 prayer couples - Mark and Corinne, Anthony and Laura for praying for us during the weekend.

After the weekend, I was so tired... =P

KTV With Choco & Friends

Went KTV with Deardear, Choco, his boss and Josephine 2 weeks ago. This is my first time going KTV with Choco they all... it is also my first time going to the KTV opposite Bugis Junction called TopOne. This is the first KTV which I don't feel cold at all. Instead I could feel the heat in my body after singing every song.

Deardear said that the lemon tea he drank there was the most expensive lemon tea he had ever drank bcoz he paid for his and my share for the KTV session without singing at all. Hehee... In fact, I think I sang the most... Once again, I did not fail to hold my Jolin concert... I sang so many Jolin's songs until I myself felt tired of singing her songs and Deardear became sleepy... =P Anyway, I think their lemon tea sucks!

Their KTV system seems abit complicated and does not have a controller like in KBox, I did not know how to operate it and took some time to figure it out. But the cool part is that we could control the lightings such as spotlights in the room. I am referring to techno spotlights used in discos, not the normal room lights! When we sang those fast songs like Sammi's Mei Fei Se Wu, we purposely switched on the flickering spotlights to let it rotate! Hahahaa... It was so funny!!!

We sang until 3.30am... When we reached home, we realized that we have cigarette smell on our hair and clothes... Hate it! I guessed although the price we paid was cheaper than KBox, I will still prefer KBox bcoz at least we will not smell like cigarette after that.

Christmas Gift Exchange Potluck Dinner 2008

I apologize for lagging in posting my entries. Hee... Juz realized that I have taken so many piccies on my camera but have not posted any entries on them. Since I am on leave today, I shall post them now...

Anyway, these are the piccies taken at Deardear's place on the day of the Christmas potluck. Among all the types of food brought over, I love Damone and Apple's potato salad best!! Coz I love potato salad!! Can teach me how to do it?? Meiye's wantons are also nice. And for the topshell that we have made, no matter how much we have prepared, it always seems insufficient to me. Hehee... Wish I can have one plate to myself next time! (Scarly eat already lao-sai! Kekeke...)

I am glad that Fang managed to make it on that day coz I thought she wasn't going initially. Oh yah, we played Taboo that night after dinner and I sucks at it manz! I was like so lost for words whenever I look at the word to be described on the card... I think my english vocab is so damn limited lah! Hate the game after playing it coz it exposed me of my poor english standard in front of everyone. Or rather I hate the feeling of not being able to score points for the gals' team, instead I gave away many points to the guys' team! Hmmph!

After the game, we had chocolate fountain for dessert. Love the strawberries from Korea... Although they look slightly pale, they were so sweet. At first when I saw the strawberries sold in the supermarket, I thought they would not be sweet at all. Hmm... I was wrong.

Then after dessert we proceeded with the gifts exchange. Coincidentally, majority of the gifts bought were the same things! That's none other than the Esprit towel and the Umbra photoframe!!! Yes, 5 of us got the Esprit towel!! Then also, Eileen and I bought the same photoframe from Taka, and Choco and Andrew got them.

I remembered days before the dinner, Deardear and I met Eileen for dinner at Taka Ajisen, we were discussing about the gift exchange. I told her that I hate to receive chocolates as presents, so I told her not to buy chocolates. Then she said she prefer chocolates than photoframe. I then said although I don't like both but still I prefer photoframe than chocolates. Then she said she will buy photoframe for me next time. Then Markie and I looked at each other and umm-chio! Kekeke... Coz actually I already bought photoframe for the gift exchange and I actually did not really like that photoframe. I bought it bcoz I did not know what else to buy and the photoframe was in fact recommended by Dear's friend who was working at Taka. Never did I expect that Eileen actually ended up buying that same photoframe which I bought for the gift exchange! Luckily I did not get back the same thing which I bought.

Among all the presents exchanged, I think the Coach cardholder that Peter got is the most valuable one bah! So lucky! I also want! =P

Goodbye 2008, Welcome 2009...

Today is the second day of 2009, also the first day of work and school this year for majority of the people out there... Anyway, I took leave today. Hehee... Didn't know why I took leave, think I just didn't feel like working. Furthermore, Deardear is also on leave so might as well take leave on the same day.

Well, as usual like I said, I stayed home to celebrate the last day of 2008 by watching TV all night, starting from Little Nonya to the countdown programmes on Channel 5, 8 and even TVBS. Every year was the same... I always wish that I could go partying on these nights... or at least meet up with some friends so that I am not just alone with my parents at home. Sounds so boring, no life, sad and pathetic... =(

Anyway, I was so bored that I sms-ed Deardear... and he gave me a surprise by coming over to my place that night! I am happy that he made it to welcome the new year together with me! But, I am still not satisfied - I want to go partying/gathering with him, Fang and Eileen this year can?? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE??? Or if can include more people, the merrier.

But I am always so pathetic!! Coz actually I do not have many friends, and the friends who I am closer with often already have plans with their other friends... So there goes my plan to go celebrating with my own friends... Yet the only one I can turn to is Deardear, but every year he will need to work work work...

Well, I know I have been complaining about the same thing every year, but I can only say that this will not stop until I get to celebrate a proper Christmas and New Year Eve with him! As in to go see the fireworks together or at least get out of the house to be with all the people out there, counting down together, getting to feel the excitement in welcoming the new year!! I think that will be so much more fun than just me staying at home watching TV lor...

Ok, anyway, yesterday I just realized that I did not upload the Disneyland fireworks and the Symphony of Lights video clips which were taken in Hong Kong during August last year, so I have uploaded them last night. Both clips were taken by Deardear. He held his arms in the air for 10 over minutes for the fireworks so as to film the entire show. Poor Deardear's arms were aching after the fireworks ended in Disneyland. Hehee...

Enjoy... And Happy New Year to everyone!
