Visiting Places Where We Less Frequent...

It's been a very relaxing weekend for me this week spending quality time with my Deardear. Yesterday after work, Dear came over to my place to accompany me since we had no idea of what to do and where to go...

We had home-cooked porridge for lunch and I spent the rest of my time sleeping while Dear surfed the net. Soon he also joined me in lala-land and we slept till about 6pm!!

We then had intentions to go out for dinner but we really did not know where to dine... Actually, both of us has been thinking to go to Corduroy & Finch at Bukit Timah but we did not know the exact location.

Good thing that my dad lent us his car since he was not going to use it last night. Kekeke... Since we managed to borrow the car, Dear decided to go check out Corduroy & Finch.

Well, we drove along the same route as though we were previously driving to skool... and when we reached Sixth Ave, we also saw Corduroy & Finch located at one of the 2-storeys building along the road. It was so easy to find it and we thought that it would be located in some ulu pandan lane. Hahaa...

Anyway, we turn into Sixth Ave and realized that there was actually a small shopping centre inside. So we turned in to park our car in the basement carpark and went to explore the area. The shopping centre is indeed very small bcoz it only has a Cold Storage supermarket, a Coffee Bean Cafe and a Venezia Ice Cream shop inside.

While walking to Corduroy & Finch, we saw quite a lot of cafes and restaurants along that stretch. Think they cater to most ang-mohs and rich people staying in that area!! And few of them seems quite crowded. When we arrived outside Corduroy & Finch, we were quite fascinated by the decor of the restaurant!! Though our 1st intention was only to go and see see look look, we felt very tempted to eat there as the desserts placed on the other customers' table look really unique!!! And so... we stepped in and asked for a table for two! Hehehee...

Too bad that the tables on the 2nd storey were fully taken up, so they showed us to a high table for two!! Although the waiter thought that we would prefer the normal type of table, I think the high table is fine coz it's something different and that I have a platform beside me to place my bag.

We took quite long to go thru the menu... many dishes seem interesting but there were quite a few dishes with names that I do not understand too!! It's the language they used in the menu... too ang-moh already!! Anyway, there is this waiter called James who took our orders and served us. He is very friendly as he kept making conversations with us and also made it a point to ask us for our comments on the food we ate. He even gave Dear his contact number. Kekeke... But I don't think he is gay bah... In fact, I find that he looks very much like my cousin Roy.

Apart from the service, we had a very filling and satisfying meal there! Everything we ordered was yum yum, especially the dessert sampler platter!! The apple crumpler is very very good, the chocolate carre/royal is chocolaty rich and sinful, and the strawberry tiramisu was a surprise from the waiter!! All these made the cheesecake tasted so ordinary... Love the drink called strawberry nektar too!! We are sure to go back there again to try their other drinks and desserts!! =D

After dinner, Dear then drove me to Rochester Park to take a look at One Rochester. There are many other cafes and restaurants there too!! But they all look very high-class and expensive! Maybe we should go there some day when we feel rich! Hahaa!!

Then Dear also drove to the new golf course at Tanjong Rhu. It looked like it's still open at 12 midnight but there was not a single person inside... seems quite scary though as it was very quiet.

And after that, we also proceed to Changi Airport Budget Terminal to take a look. When we reached the car park, it was those kind that still needs us to insert the cashcard into the machine type. The terminal looks very foreign to me, unlike Terminal 1 and 2... coz I felt as if I have arrived at some airport in Bangkok. Furthermore, it only has 1 or 2 storeys... one side for arrival and the other for departure. Dear said that it looks like some army camp. Hehee...

Well, there wasn't much to explore at the Budget Terminal, so we drove to T1 instead. Then we went to the Changi Kopitiam to mumm mumm again. I had 2 half-boiled eggs and tea with milk while Dear only ordered the tea. After supper, we then went to take our ride on the new skytrain to T2 and back to T1, then back to T2 and back to T1! AHAHAHAAA!! WE ARE VERY BO LIAO HOR?? But it was fun, all for the sick of taking pictures and videos of ourselves!!! =P

Soon fun ended and it was time to go home.
