Privé @ Keppel Bay Drive

Went to this upmarket restaurant called Privé a few weeks ago with Deardear for dinner... It's located on Keppel island behind the Carribean on Keppel Bay condominium. Other than the restaurant, they also have a Gastrobar and a Bakery Cafe.

The Gastrobar has got a nice ambience coz it is an open concept bar. However, coz we were having dinner, so we sat in the restaurant instead. When we went, there were even fireworks at the bridge area. Everyone in the restaurant then rushed out to look at the spectacular fireworks!

Well, I think the place is nice partly bcoz of the view of the colour-changing bridge. But it is quite inaccessible for those without a car to travel there.

The food wasn't fantastic to me. I am referring to their steak... coz I ordered their tenderloin and didn't really like it. The steak itself is nice bcoz of its tenderness but as there wasn't any sauce on it and without chilli and ketchup, it was considered tasteless to me. Or perhaps I don't know how to appreciate such food. Hahaa...

But the dessert that we ordered was quite interesting and unique! It's called the Apple Gellie (if I didn't remember wrongly). This is how it was presented...

Totally suitable for someone with a sweet tooth who enjoys eating cotton candy like me! The taste of the sugar coating over the cherry apples just seems like eating a cotton candy lollipop! This dessert is really very very sweet!!! So... it is not suitable for people with diabetes! =P However, the apple jelly isn't too sweet so it sort of balance off the over-sweetness from the sugar-coated cherry apples.
