Strange Call From Customer

I received a strange call from a weird customer today... A lady who sounded like she is in the mid 30s or 40s called in to tell me about her supernatural encounter... When our conversation started, I was not too sure whether to believe her or not. In fact, I actually tried to assist her in prompting for more informations at the start of the conversation but as I listened further, I eventually told myself that this women must have gone nuts!!

Well well, the things she told me indeed made me felt a little eerie though... eventhough I tried to make myself think that she is mad. She actually told me that she had a fake brother (imposed by someone else and that she did not know that this fake brother was an imposed one) who had previously borrowed a loan from our bank. That fake brother later ran away without repaying back the loan, thus leading to the people from our bank calling up the fake brother's mother (whom the lady claimed was also a fake mother whom she later found out) to ask her to settle the payment for the fake brother. She then told me that bcoz this fake mother is already very old and could not stand the frequent calls she received from our bank, the fake mother actually told this lady to help her son to pay for his debts. Thus, this lady went on to tell me that she wants to complain about the bad attitude of our bank staffs who called up the fake mother to bully her when she is already so old and also said that our staffs are very black-hearted - as in they should not have called up so many times to disturb the mother when the fake brother was not contactable.

Ok, the scary part is that she told me that recently she dreamt about the ghost of the real brother telling her that he is dead and that the guy who ran away owing the money is not her brother. She even went on to tell me that she knows that there's is no way to prove the conversation with the spirit of her dead brother. Ans she said she is calling me to inform us that the guy who owed the bank money previously is not her real brother and that that guy has ran away leaving her to pay up his debts for him, in which she has no relations to...

So I asked if she could provide me with any information to retrieve the account so as to check. She then said that this loan account has been closed long time ago as she has already helped the guy to pay back the loan. Then I told her that I would not be able to assist if she cannot provide me with any account information. And I asked her what would she like me to help regarding this. She said nothing and that she is just complaining to me about our staffs' bad attitude. So I told her that I would still need account informations in order to track back to such things. She then provided me with an IC number. I asked her if this IC number belongs to her real brother or fake brother? She then told that she doesn't know it herself... So I went into the account to check, it was a renovation loan account that was closed very long ago. I then asked the caller - When did that matter happen? She told me that it was 12 years ago... OH MAN!!! I immediately think there must be something wrong with this person whom I am speaking to lor!!!

Well, nevermind then... I went on with the conversation with her... I told her that I could not do anything to her complaint as this matter had happened far too long ago and that I guessed the people who called up her family were just doing their job! She then told me yes she knows it's not my fault and that she guessed that the people working here 12 years ago should have already left my company, so she said she is not blaming me for that. She then went on and on to repeat the whole story again and told me that she is telling me all these bcoz she has an air-hostess licence... saying that she used to be an air-hostess and earned alot of money, now that her money have all been cheated away by that fake brother. She even said things like her elder sister, brother and father were all killed by someone and she didn't know who killed them... =S

So I asked - by telling me all these things, what can I do to help? And I told her that I really do not know how to help even though she is telling me all these. She then repeatedly said that she is not blaming me for anything as she knows it's not my fault. She said she is telling me all these bcoz she would like our bank to be careful in loaning money to that guy who imposed as her brother and to warn our staffs not to treat old people so badly. I then told her that it is not within our control to prevent that guy from opening an account with our bank as all applications are still subjected to the bank's approval. And that the bank would not be able to know about the relationship between you and your brother and the things that has happened between your family members as these are personal matters and has nothing to do with the bank. Thus, I really could not help much in such a request.

After that, the caller actually said it's ok as she just wanted to tell me all that, then she thanked me and hung up. Took me almost 20mins for the whole call... Duhh!!

Anyway, told my supervisor about the call... He immediately thinks that the caller is siao one!! Hahaa!! And I have happily spoken to her for 20mins lor! Kekeke...

But thinking back about the dream that the lady told me really makes me quite scared... When I went to the toilet in my office at 9plus (night) just now, I kept imaginating things - went in and out real fast, faster washed my hands and out I went... didn't even dare to look into the mirror... Hehee..

Now I am writing this at 3am, I am also quite scared lor! Okie, I want to finish this off quickly and go to bed.

Pain In The Neck!

Not sure if he is the son of a bitch... but for all the thing I know for sure, he is a stupid fucking asshole, a pain in the neck to most of my batch mates at work!!

The person I am talking about is one of my shift supervisors!! I am not going to mention his name here but very unfortunately, he has the same name as my brother.

Many of them from my batch hate him bcoz of his damn fucking yaya-papaya attitude... Furthermore, I think he is such a nosey busy-body who enjoys poking his nose into other's business. Well, maybe not others but my business!

However I don't understand why the older shifters seem to click quite well with him... and another doubt in my mind is that I always wonder why he treats a butch (one of my colleague) so much better than us!! Makes me wonder if he dislikes gals!!

All along, I thought he was alright as he did not do anything to me, except knowing that he hates C and any other people to sit at his workstation and that he is very particular about others dirtying or messing up his table. He is no longer considered as alright after he has stepped on my tail and given me attitude!

In fact, he is really unhelpful in assisting us in our queries and that we hate asking him questions unless we have no choice. Remember the last time, I blog about the stop payment case whereby the customer's check wasn't stopped and was actually cleared into a trading firm's account... After that matter, he likes to say things sarcastically to indicate on how I could make such a stupid mistake and even kept reminding me about the matter by asking me whether I have received my checkbook and seen a check before... And told me to photocopy a copy of my checkbook to keep in the office as a reference. At that time, I actually felt offended by his sarcastic words. It was none of his business anyway, since another day supervisor was actually doing the following up for me.

Last Saturday, I swopped my weekend shifts with R, this sickening supervisor suddenly asked me why I was working on the earlier shift and also asked who approved it. It was never his problem in the first place what!! Why must he ask so much since the swop has already been approved by another supervisor??! After that, he pursposely find fault with me... there was a call that I took 6 mins plus to talk to cm followed by doing some form-filling, he sudddenly walked over and kick a big fuss on how long I have been on not ready status and exclaimed "WHAT'S TAKING YOU SO LONG?? IT'S BEEN 6 MINS ALREADY LEH!!! DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG IS THIS OR NOT???"

At that point of time, I needed his assistance to help me review on customer's account as the customer has requested for a temp increase in his credit line. He took the request form from me, declined it without much consideration and just pass it back to me without explaining why he declined the request. When I asked, he asked me "Didn't you read the memo???" Think he simply has attitude problem!!

Today I was late, he went to check on my logging in time just now even though he was on nite shift and would not have know that I was late if he does not do a check... He purposely questioned me on what time I logged in and when I said I forgot, he told me that it was 5.18pm and that I was late for 18 mins. He then told me to report to work 30 mins earlier when I go back to work on this coming Thursday.

I have an urge to ask him why must I pay back more than the duration that I was late for, furthermore such a rule is not stated in my job contract... So why should I do so?? Anyway I have decided and planned to go earlier on Thursday by only 18 mins, NOT 30 mins lor!! Fire me lah!!! =P

Now I really hate him to the core! I think very soon I may just submit my resignation letter before the end of 6 months bcoz I cannot stand him putting an eye on me so closely in whatever I do.

Or worst if he turns out to be my direct supervisor!!! Yeeek!!! =S

I Love VivoCity!!!

Just a short update on my last 2 entries about C and me... Glad that everything between us has been clarified and that we are currently back on good terms again. Really appreciate her understanding on my previous frustration. Thanks gal!

Finally had a chance to go to the beach again yesterday... Have not been there for about 3 weeks. However, the weather wasn't very healthy as it has been very hazy recently.

After that, I suggested to go catch the movie "World Trade Centre" and so Deardear suggested going to VivoCity GV to watch it. Thus, we then proceed to there to purchase our movie tixs after leaving Sentosa.

It was freaking cold in VivoCity, we were freezing inside. Nah... Just exaggerating... Hahaa! In any case, it is really really BIG and spacious inside!!! Or should I say HUGE?? The building structure has 3 segments in a form of a circular shape each with 3 storeys and not sure if there are 1 or 2 basements (we didn't go to the basement though).

There are many many shops!!! So many that I have already fell in love with the place!! Furthermore, that only made up 60% of the total number of shops. Just by walking thru the stretch with TopShop, Pull and Bear, Forever 21 have already made me wanna go back there again!!! Just by visiting these 3 places, I have already felt like buying the whole 3 shops, especially TopShop and Forever 21! Not forgetting to mention that there's also mPhosis!!! My favorite brand!

Within a short 1-2 hours, I have already bought 2 tops from mPhosis and 1 from Forever 21. Dear also bought 2 t-shirts from Pull and Bear. I have spotted a pair of golden track shoes from Pull and Bear, but it costs $79.90... I am still considering whether I should buy it although I felt quite tempted to.

Oh yah, we actually went to GV before shopping around... However, the movie tixs for "World Trade Centre" were sold out. Thus, we decided to watch the show today instead. That was why we had the time to explore the place.

Like I say, it is so big that we didn't even have enough time to go to certain parts of the building such as Tangs and the third storey. We did catch a glimpse of the third storey, there's a very big open space which seems quite windy and relaxing for couples to "pak-tor" or take a stroll. But I think it is not advisable for couples to go there and romantic now since that place is still so new and that everyone is going up there to explore the place. Hehee... Probably after the crowd has died down in the near future, it will be a nice quiet place for couples to go at night! =P

Later, there is this chinese restaurant which Dear and I passed by - Crystal Jade Dining, its interior looks very high class from the outside. It seems as though it caters to the rich! Hope I can dine in there some day... Kekeke...

Alrighty, that's all for our visit to VivoCity. Awaiting my next trip to shop there again!!! =D

Cause and Effect of Misunderstanding Someone

Being said as fucked-up? Yes, I guessed I am.

Probably I shouldn't have blog on the previous entry that led to such misunderstandings... I knew that the person concerned would read it, yet I posted my frustration here. That's bcoz I think venting my frustration is my problem, just like everyone else does in their blog. Now I even have to think twice before posting this entry, hoping that it will not lead to a worse situation.

Despite all negative thoughts revolving in my head and here, I still talked to her today as per normal and to treat what has happened yesterday as over after the let-out.

Received a reply from my supervisor regarding her rejection on my request for block leave... Expected the rejection and was told to choose other dates. Approached her to ask how I was supposed to block my leave when there are no slots avail for blocking 5 or 10 days in a row... She then offered to squeeze in a 5-days leave into a slot which was shown as fully blocked, splitting up the other 4 days into individual slots as she said that I have no other choice.

Also exchanged my shift with R for the following weekend as I have a friend's wedding to attend. I thought that she might have already changed it with C, but apparently she didn't. That was when I realized that I might have really mistaken C in some way...

Just like what Dear always said about me, I am always blinded by the pessimistic thoughts within me and that was exactly what happened yesterday, which made me think that life is so unfair and the only way out is to quit my job, making a big hoo-ha over small matters. Only then I regretted posting the previous entry bcoz I knew that I have mistaken her. But it was too late as I was already at work and was unable to access to the net to remove my last entry.

Well, as written in her blog, she is clear that she isn't in the wrong. Yes, now that I am sure that she really is not in the wrong. I admit that it was my mistake for not asking but chose to perceive her in the wrong way and make assumptions about the untrue.

Perhaps she really had her reasons and I actually mistook her in a bad way for breaking the unexpected news to me bcoz she did it too suddenly when I just arrived at work. Reason being that I have actually spotted that slot 2 days ago to block my leave and even took the effort to come home and discuss it with my Dear first. And so I have already made plans to book the slot as soon as I returned to work. Then come the sudden news that the same slot that I have intended to block was taken. I believe anyone in my shoes would get frustrated, despite putting in the extra step to even discuss it and make plans with someone.

Anyway, I think explaining things further would lead to nowhere now... Perhaps I should just apologize to her directly.

Hard Up @ Work...

Maybe there is really no such thing called integrity within a workplace... I always think that when I treat someone nice, that person would also treat me nice as well. However, I realised that this is not the case... not for once or twice, but too many times!!

Perhaps D.J. were right in having no integrity during the times we did our projects together. There and then we were still talking about how they cannot survive in the working world without integrity... Perhaps there's really no integrity in the real working world - selfish people wins!

Probably I was just too naive to think that when I treat someone like my good friend, that person would eventually treat me as a good friend too... I was wrong again and again but still I continued to treat the person like a good friend, hoping that I see the person wrongly.

But maybe I should not blame things in this way bcoz things might just have happened inevitably like what Dear said. Or probably, I am just feeling jealous of having unfair treatment compared to others... (Don't ask me why I like to compare... it's just a natural reaction for human beings, especially when things don't go well smoothly the way that we want it to, while we see others in the better light.)

Things happened so fast within a day that I am still unable to accept it now. Why things must always happen the opposite way I want it to?? Why is it that I always turned out to be the suay one?? Why is it that others are always luckier than me yet they can still grumble about how bad the situation is for them? WHY???

Who would be in a situation that is worst of than me now? Look at all the points that I have listed out below after analysing my schedule. (Analysing my schedule has became a routined task that I need to do everyday...)

-My all 4 weekends are burnt w/in a month's schedule
-I'm not even given a single 'P' - public holiday off in lieu
-I need to work 7 times A5 (5pm to 1am) shift for all my weekends
-All my shifts are either A2 (2pm to 11pm) or A5
-There was not a single morning shift scheduled for me, neither there is anyone who is willing to exchange their shifts with me
-I am unable to block the leave slot which I wanted to block initially and most of the days are already fully taken...
-Time is so hard to past yet I am being put to work with people I do not know
-I am being scheduled to work on a night shift with 2 guys who I do not really know too
-I am unable to meet up with my Dear other than only on my 2 off days which falls on 2 weekdays

There's simply no motivation to work at all!!! No doubt that the pay is high, but money is not everything, money cannot buy time, love and friendship!

Felt like crying eversince the start of work today over some things which I could not accept and still cannot accept... Suddenly I just kept asking myself lots of questions! Ultimately, every thought just led to the same conclusion - I hate this job and I just want to quit it!!

Adding to my frustration were 3 bloody irritating customers who were so damn impatient with me, despite me trying my best to help them solve their problem calmly!! Hated one of the male customers who whined and behaved like a small kid venting his anger at me (as if a kid throwing tantrums at the parent who does not want to buy him the toy he wants) when he could not log-in into his internet banking website. Was trying to ask him questions based on the basic troubleshooting steps, but he kept saying that I am wasting his time and that he has already done everything I said (when I have not even finished telling him what to do) and claimed that he still cannot log-in and insisted that I give him an explanation why on the spot. Fuck you lor!! Can't you be a man and do the right thing??!!!

Immediately after these calls, I just felt like giving up and quitting on the spot!!! Only if I had the courage to do so... Nevertheless, I could do nothing but only to vent my frustrations to Dear when he came to find me for dinner later...

After dinner, I immediately emailed my supervisor to put up my request to block my leave but she did not reply... Looks like chances are slim... =(

Came home and went through my schedule for tomorrow as usual... seems to be working with none of the people I know except L (L is someone I do not really like)!! I feel even more so to quit, as I really cannot stand loneliness... Maybe to others, this is ridiculous but to me loneliness has always been something I really really hate to go through. Furthermore, time is already so hard to past at night... how am I going to endure the loneliness without anyone I know to talk to. Not to mention about making new friends and getting to know more people - making new friends has always been a difficult chore for me.

I feel so miserable about going to work tomorrow and on Monday and for the rest of my working days that I just feel like taking another MC again or just go MIA. I simply hate seeing myself burning off all my weekends just like that. I hate working till so late at night that I cannot even meet my Dear after work but only meet him on my 2 off days!!! I hate alot of things about work and yet no one can understand or help me, not even colleagues.

Anyway, thanks to Dear for listening to my frustration and being with me on the phone when I was crying just now... I really did not mean to always make him go through this with me but this is just how I vent my unhappiness bcoz I cannot throw my temper at my customers, neither should I just cry in front of my colleagues... the only suitable time is when I am alone together with him or when I am all alone by myself so that I could vent everything out. I just want to cry and let it all out...

Deep In Shit...

Just when I thought life would be slightly more relax at work now since I am working with the shift team... Never did I expect that I would kenna another problematic case!! IT'S FUCKING IRRITATING LOR!!

This time it is a case whereby the customer told me to put a stop to his cheque from being cleared. Furthermore, that was my first time handling a 'stop payment' call. Well, I asked him what was the cheque number that he wanted to stop... He gave me a whole string of numbers that was printed on the bottom of his cheque. So I told him that the check number should not be so long, he then told me that he is not sure of the check number and asked me to check for him...

Thus I approached my supervisor, however she was on the line... so I went back to flipped my notes and found a cheque specimen. Printed on that specimen is a string of numbers which states 0-000237-7214-015-XXXXXXXXXX. And on top of these numbers, it printed 'cheque no.' above the 0-000237, 'bank code' above 7214, 'branch code' above 015 and 'account no.' above the last 10 digits (XXXXXXXXXX).

Me happily thinking that I found the answer to the customer's question, quickly compared the the numbers on the specimen to the numbers given to me by the customer which showed 0000517214011XXXXXXXXXX without the dashes. Not knowing that 7214 is the bank code and 011 is the branch code, I simply told the customer that the cheque no. was to drop the first 4 zeros in front and to take the next 3 digits (which is 517) as the cheque no.

So... I told the customer that the cheque number should be 517 and the customer stupidly took my words for it and went on to say that he wants to stop the cheque no. 517. I satisfyingly thought that I have learnt and handled something new once again after processing the stop payment procedures to stop the cheque. I even asked my supervisor to double confirm the steps of stopping a cheque with me.

Who knows... yesterday, my same supervisor came to me and said that she needs to talk to me. Before that, I already read her email and went into the customer's account to see what had happened. Apparently, the wrong cheque was stopped and the cheque that the customer requested me to stop was cleared!!! With an amount of S$9000!!! FUCK!!! This time, the customer called in again to make a complaint and he even told my supervisor that he told me to stop cheque no. 51, not 517!!!
Sorry for the bad language used here... I can't help but to scold KNNCCB!! BU KI NEH NEH KAO!! That was not what he told me previously lor!! If he had knew of the cheque no. right from the start, would he have asked me to check for him???! And why the hell did he provide me with the whole strings of numbers stated on the cheque at the beginning and not just tell me directly that the cheque no. is 51??!!

The dulan part is that my supervisor went to retrieve my call and listened to my conversation with the customer... I was asked why I did not check properly before providing informations to the customer. I then told her that I wanted to ask her initially but saw that she was on the phone thus I went to refer to my notes. And I also said that it was my first time handling a stop payment. She then said that all the more I should check and confirm things first. Well, what can I say?...

Anyway, I am in deep shit now... My supervisor told me that the cheque has been cleared and the money was actually credited into a stock trading firm's bank account. And the customer insisted for a refund of the $9000 from us. My supervisor then told me that she don't know where to find the money to return to the customer.

But later she then said that she has already called up the stock trading firm and begged them to return the money to us so that we could return it to the customer. She used the word 'begged' which made me feel bad... Luckily the company has already issued us a cheque post-dated on 11 October... Thus, my supervisor told me that we should really pray hard that the cheque can be cleared on 11 October... If not, our bank would have to bear the loss of $9000 by issuing a cheque from our profit and loss account to the customer. The thing that I am worried here is that my director would need to initial on the cheque, which means that he will then know of my carelessness which caused the bank to lose money... =(

Well, yesterday I was quite lonely at work without Charmaine... Went for dinner with Zac and then again, she also told me not to quit my job yet. She said that work will be more fun once I get to know and mix well with the other shifters. Sigh... As usual, I am always the less sociable one so I just sat quietly at my workstation to answer calls last night. My night was slow and boring yesterday, despite people around me like Jennifer, Evelyn, Debbie, Leonard and Viv were joking away. Felt like a total stranger out of their circle of trust. I really cannot imagine how I am going to past my time during my night shift from 11pm to 8.30am, working with only the 2 guys that I don't really know.

Think I thought too much till I am having headache now!! Plus the noises coming from the renovation works in my house everyday always woke me up from my sleep at 8plus each morning... Hate it!!! Guessed it has been too many nights without sufficient sleep that made me so tired. Yes! I am on MC again... Who cares now?? I just learnt that my other colleagues from my batch have already taken 5-6 times of MC so far, while I have only been on MC twice... and if taking into consideration this time would make it thrice only!! Hahaa!! =P

My First Day On Shift...

Today was my first day working on shift from 2pm to 11pm... wasn't as bad as I thought. I am really bo chap now... I am supposed to wear office attire for this shift today, but I simply hack it and wore my casual attire to work instead! =D

The time passed quite slowly during the first half (as in between 2pm to 6pm) before dinner time... However, I already managed to hit 20 calls during the first 4 hours. The calls just kept on coming in non-stop till I don't even have the time to go to the toilet.

Previously, we have heard some rumours about the shift sups on who are the better ones and who are the not so helpful ones... one of them which was said to be not so nice turned out to be not as bad as what I thought today... but still I will not take that as they are, as most of the people in my company have got mood swings!! They can be so very helpful during this minute and then who knows when they will suddenly give a bloodly attitude as if we are idiots asking them silly questions or give as a face as if we owe them hundreds and thousands of dollars!!

Anyway, time passed quite fast after dinner coz I guessed there were not so much calls so it seems more relax bcoz we seldom hear the bell that alerts us to log in and be ready to wait for calls. And thus I just take my own sweet time to answer each call. Hehee... However, I'm quite scared that time would be difficult to past during those days that Charmaine is on a different shift as me or not even working on the same day as me... =(

Hope the rest of my working days stay the same like today.

Feeling Lost and Confused Once Again...

Had a talk with my UM 2 days ago... Just after she explained to Charmaine and I about our remuneration package, schedule, how to process our claims and block leaves when we go into our shift work, I told her that I thought of leaving the job. Although I may not be prepared to really leave this current job, I feel so demoralized after seeing my schedule that I just want to quit my job immediately before I start my shift.

Actually before I told my UM that I feel like quitting bcoz I think I am slow in learning and I do not like the shift hours scheduled for me, she already figured out what I wanted to tell her. I kinda already expected her reply as well! What else can she say but to tell me not to give up so fast and not to take it that every month's schedule would be the same, as they will be rotating the weekend off on a monthly basis instead of weekly basis. She kept emphasizing that this job is not a bed of roses thus I need to give myself more time to learn and pick up the necessary skills and knowledge... and that I could work things out regarding the shift hours... so I should not give up so easily...

The problem here is that I was only using the 'slow in learning' as an excuse to quit the job. My main concern is about the shift hours - NO WEEKEND OFF AT ALL IN ONE WHOLE MONTH!!!!!! Since the rotation is on a monthly basis... How many months must I wait in order to wait till my turn to go on a weekend off??

By the way, I went for an interview just now at P-Serv for the post of Recruitment Executive... Was just a casual interview with the HR assistant. I was told that there will be a 2nd interview with the Sales Manager and another person who I forgot, if I am shortlisted for the post. Actually, I went for the interview just to see how the job and salary is like... Unfortunately, the interviewer was not able to tell me anything about the salary range of the position but told me to ask during the 2nd interview if I am shortlisted. Somehow, I don't know why but to think that they surely can't pay me up to the current salary which I am drawing now!! Hahaa!! The interviewer even asked me why is it that I will state such a low amount for my expected salary as compared to my current drawn salary... In my mind, I was thinking: "Bcoz I don't think you can pay me that high lah!!" Kekeke...

Anyway, after attending the interview, I somehow don't feel like quitting my current job already bcoz I suddenly thought of the the things I need to go thru again if I take up a new job... such as new products, skills and knowledge that I would need to learn again in the new job and need to strive hard so as to hit sales targets in order to earn the commission... So why not just stick to this current job when I am already half-way (or more like 1/4 way) there on my learning path and still drawing a much higher salary. Right?!

Then again, there is always a BUT!! But... thinking about the unhelpful shift supervisors and selfish colleagues whom I need to face in my current job everyday, the shift working hours, no weekend off, cannot meet Dear and friends, etc. etc... I feel like quitting again!!! Hahaa!! As usual, it's me lor... THE ALWAYS UNDECISIVE, PESSIMISTIC AND CONFUSED ME!!! =P

Is It Time To Submit My Resignation Again?

I've just received my work schedule for October recently, found out that I'm going to start my shift work next month. SUPER SIANZ!!!

The working hours that were scheduled for me SUX!!! Not a single shift from 9am to 6pm, neither is there any weekend off for the whole month of October!!! WTF!!! Yes... I ought to know that shift work is like that when I accepted the job... BUT never did I expect them to schedule me in this way!! What is this?? Why is it that I see others with 3 to 4 times weekend off for the whole month and with 9am to 6pm shifts, but none of these was planned for me?? WHY?? IT'S SO UNFAIR!!!

Another thing I am pissed at is that I am only put on 2 different shift hours - 2pm to 11pm and 5pm to 1am, with a majority on 2pm to 11pm. Heard from my other colleagues that it is most not worth to work from 2pm to 11pm bcoz we cannot claim for cab fare. It's the worst shift hours among all coz we have to work till so late yet rush to take a bus home! What if we have to stay back to do follow-ups??! What if our last call at 10.55pm or 11pm is from a nasty or long-winded customer??! Sad to say, I think the management will only say: "WHY SHOULD WE CARE? THAT'S YOUR OWN PROBLEM!!..."

I really have the urge to quit my job after seeing my schedule... Already started sending out resumes and searching for other jobs. I swear I will not take on position that requires shift work again!!

Sianz, all my weekends are burnt for October. Cannot meet Dear on weekends already... Gonna miss Shufang's birthday celebration and Meifang's wedding dinner too... Super duper low morale now... KILL ME PLEASE!!! =S

Say Goodbye to Blonde, Hello to Black!!

My nose was running like a tap on last Sunday night... somehow my cold caused me to have headache as well... Thus, the very first thing I thought of was to take MC on Monday! I'll never miss the opportunity to be on medical leave coz like I say, work sux!!

Anyway, I felt much better on Monday itself but took MC for the sick of taking only... Hahaa!! Have been thinking to dye my hair black all these while, however I was afraid that the outcome might turn out to make me look very dull. But anyway, I have already bought the hair dye from Watson since last Tuesday and left it at home till Monday... I decided to use it.

The process was faster than I thought... It took me about 2 hours to go thru the whole colouring plus washing process... Fast but messy though! My toilet wall and floor was then stained with drops of black hair dye. When I shampooed my hair then, the foam was dark purplish in colour!!

Well, seeing the results of dyeing my hair back to the blue-black colour... I think my hair looks like a wig to me... It's so black that I can't help but to think that my hair looks artificial! Hahaa... Or maybe I am just not used to seeing myself in black hair.

I think the last time I had black hair was when I was still in secondary skool. Eversince after taking my 'O' Levels, I went to dye my hair to copper brown and have never stop dyeing or highlighting my hair till now... I have not seen myself in black hair for the past 9 years!!!

Now that my hair is black, I think I look dull and old like an aunty in my office attire... I simply do not know how to match my office attire clothings so as not to make myself look so dull with my black hair now... How I wish that I can wear my casual clothings to work everyday, especially my 3/4 slacks! Sigh...

For Those Who Worship The Dancing Diva...

Jolin's performance at the MTV Asia Concert 2006... Enjoy!!

Getting Lazy to Blog...

It's been some time since my last entry... I guessed people who reads my blog must be getting bored with the same old entries that appear here everyday. However, I feel so tired to come online these days...

I've been very irritated with a few things for the last 2 weeks!!! Firstly, my work sux sux sux.... sux like hell!!! Secondly, the stupid IMF road closure has brought much inconvenience to me as I can only travel home by MRT from work! And thirdly, there seems to be some friendship issue revolving around my friends and I...

Sigh... As usual, I am complaining about my work over the same old things again and again... The job sux, the people sux and one thing for sure - THE CUSTOMERS SUX BIG TIME!!! Well well, I received a complaint letter thru email that was forwarded straight to my unit manager, who then invited me for a chat over the complaint case! Anyway, I also knew that it was coming after my call with the customer ended... as I already knew that I have said the wrong thing during my phone conversation with the customer. I was told by my manager not to take what the customer says to become personal. Then again, it was the customer's fault who made me said what I shouldn''t have said to him...

The customer actually called in to enquire on why he has an interest charge stated in his current statement when he had already paid up his last month's outstanding balance in full. However, he didn't seems to get it when I tried explaining to him that although he has made full payment for his outstanding balance, he still did not pay the interest accrued in that last month's statement... which is why the interest would then appear in this month's statement again together with the interest accrued for this month. Thus, I repeatedly told him that he needs to refer back to his previous month's statement to understand, but he simply kept telling me that he did not see any interest stated in the previous statement... furthermore, he said this: 'I cannot even see any STUPID statement sent to me last month!!'

I was then abit confused by him bcoz at first he said he did not see any interest charge stated on the previous statement, later he then said he cannot even see the previous statement sent to him... so if he doesn't even have the previous statement with him, how is it that he can tell me he did not even see any interest charge stated in that statement!!! SIAO!!

So again I prompted him for more details to find out which other statements he has on hand. Then , he started making a fuss that I am wasting his time and did not answer to his question after talking to him for 10 mins. He even said that I kept arguing with him on referring him to look at the old statement when he is asking on the current statement... Then he asked to speak to my superior and asked for my name. So I told him my name. But he did not get my name and so asked me to spell it out to him! So... I spelled my name out and asked him: 'You want my IC no.???' He then told me: 'Don't be sarcastic!! I am going to complain about you!!' and hung up the phone on me!

Hahahaa... I knew I was not supposed to say that but I was then boiling when he accused me of arguing with him but in actual fact I was just trying to explain things to him... he still took down my name and wanted to speak to my supervisor! Although my manager kept telling me that the customer is not scolding me but the bank, I think the way he accused me of arguing with him is already becoming a personal attack!! How not to take it personal?!!

FUCK YOU MR CHONG!!! THANKS FOR YOUR COMPLAINT ON MY SARCASTIC, UNHELPFUL AND UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE!!! I JUST WANT TO TELL YOU - YOU ARE NOT A MAN!!!

Really don't understand these customers!!! Don't they have any other better things to do??! They like to call in and yet say that we are wasting their time once they do not get what they want... In the first place, why call in when you do not even have the time to talk?? If you think you are right, why waste time to call in and ask? Why waste our time as well for explaining to you and then insist that we are wrong and you are right??!! Fucking irritating morons!!

Last week, I also received an email from our unit manager that my colleagues and I are obliged to serve 2 hours overtime each week with no choice of when we can stayback to do the overtime and that there's no overtime claim as well... I am scheduled to stayback on every Monday till 8pm to answer calls... Furthermore, with the IMF road closure... I have to walk to the MRT station all the way from my workplace to take the train home. By the time I reached home would be almost 10pm... Then I still need to get changed and eat my dinner... Guess what time would that be?? Sianz!!
I hate Mondays!!! Oh yah, I received that stupid complaint on Monday as well!! Wish I fall sick on every Monday!! Hehee!!

Anyway, this weekend was quite fun... Dear and I met up with Fang and Eileen on both Friday and Saturday!! We met up at Orchard on Friday after work and went shopping for awhile, then we went to Liang Seah Street to eat ma la steamboat! Yum yum! Tammie also joined us later!

As for yesterday, we went to Palawan... hoping to get some tan. However, it rained not long after Fang and Eileen arrived. Hahaa... We then proceed to the Palawan foodcourt and sat down on the bench which is just beside the pond while waiting for the rain to stop. Anyway, we ate quite alot of food at that foodcourt! Can never forget the coconut with no flesh (and water) joke from Eileen! Ahahaa!! Other than the no flesh coconut, Fang ordered the improvised version of red ruby which has brown sugar (Eileen's so called Bobby) added in it and Dear also ordered deep-fried chicken wings.

There is this luohan fish in the pond that can jump up of the water when you snap your fingers above it... Saw a lady doing that and even putting her hand into the dirty pond to sayang the fish... She even called the fish 'Boy' while playing with it. Heard her saying that she was the one who put the fish into the pond... Apparently, it seems that quite a few people, especially those working at the foodcourt know about this luohan fish, as we saw a few people putting their hand near the water surface to make it jump. One of them was my Dear who used his leg instead!! Hahaa!!

After eating at Palawan foodcourt, Eileen drove us home to bathe and also to get the car. Met them again at Tampines Mall, then we went to Beach Cabana at night for dinner. The mixed grill that we ordered was not bad... Wished we had more of the prawns!! We stayed there till quite late to chit chat once again, and Kelvin also joined us after his work. Left the place around 3am.

Happy 26th Birthday to Me!

Wasn't very lucky on my birthday though... What a "surprise" birthday bomb I had on my birthday!!! Was being complained by some colleague in the CCSU Department for not doing my job due to some miscommunication... DAMN!!

In the first place, I was already very unwilling to go to work on my birthday, plus the sucky rainy weather spoilt my day coz I was late for work... however, the calls for the day were alright until came this supervisor at 5.30pm who suddenly showed me an email, asking me if I remember doing something to this particular customer's account on 31 July and if I know that I have not done what I was told to do to the customer's account.

Well, this complaint case was regarding a call transferred to me from the CCSU officer exactly 1 month ago. Simply, bcoz I was so suay that the call transferred from that "bitch" was routed to me and so I got into trouble!!...

It was like that... That bitch called me and told me that she had this customer on the line who needed to update her billing address in the system so that her new ATM card and 3 other credit cards could be replaced and sent to the new billing address. So when I took over to speak to the customer, I reconfirmed with the customer if she wants to update her billing address, then the customers said yes. Upon her confirmation, I went ahead to update her billing address and memo my actions into the customer's account in the system. I remembered clearly that I asked the customer: "Is there anything else??" and the customer said no. Then the call ended. So... How was I supposed to know that I had to regenerate the replacement cards when I was only told to update the address by the customer???!!! The very smart CCSU bitch then also memo into the customer's account saying that she has transferred the call to me (even stating my name) to update billing address and also to regenerate 1 ATM card and 3 credit cards for the customer after the address has been updated.

Taking into consideration that on 31 July, I was only on the job for 3 weeks... Would I know that I had to monitor the case myself to replace the cards after updating the address?!! No one ever told me lor...

Anyway, how can they expect me to remember what were the exact instructions given to me during that 1 phone call which happened 1 month ago when my job is to answer almost 30 calls per day (Means approx. 660 calls per month)... I really feel like scolding out "SIAO! HOW DO YOU EXPECT ME TO REMEMBER???"

Bcoz of this stupid case, I had to stay back after 6pm to follow up on the case till 7.30pm, which made my day super super sianz... And I din even have time to reply to those who sent me their sms greetings... Sorry for the super late replies!!

Luckily, Dear went to collect the car from my brother and so he came to fetch me after work!! Hehee!! Felt so bad that I made him waited for me for 1.5 hours coz of the stupid follow-up to be done.

Everything seems so carefree from the moment I met Dear! Had a surprise from him... Ta da!!

This is what I call a surprise birthday gift... A Gucci wallet!! Hehee!! Although it's not the handbag that I told Kelvin to hint to my Dear, still I must say thanks to him for starting the trend!! Ahahaa!!

Deardear, THANKS for the present and the card with your super BIG heart on it!! Hoooooo!! Hahaa!! Love them both!!! Muacks!!! =D

Went to Corduroy and Finch yesterday to celebrate with the gang! Also had a surprise from them!!...

A watch from DKNY... just what I needed to match my office attire!! And Dear kept making me think that they would be getting me the belt which I had spotted from Topshop... Heee... =P

THANKS to Shufang, Eileen, Kelvin, Damone, Meiye, Peter, Tammie, Kevin and Gena for the watch!!

Here are the pics taken at Corduroy and Finch...

We Have Officially Graduated!!

Congrats to all of us from the 30th and 31st intake of SIM-RMIT University BBBA program!! For the first time, I was dressed in a graduation gown attending my Degree Conferment & Awards Ceremony held on 1 September 2006 in the Grand Hall of SIM. Was feeling all excited to see my friends again!!! Hehee!!

As usual, I turned up almost late... hurried to the registration counter and then dashed into the changing room to change into my Harry Potter gown. Fortunately, there was this gal dressed in pink from Serangoon Broadway to help me with the dressing of the gown and the mortar board. Everything was kinda rush just before I proceed to the hall... Then I met Fang, Eileen and Tammie outside the changing room! Hehee... Good to know that Shufang was sitting beside me in the hall. =D

We were then briefed on how to go on stage to receive our certificate folder from the Chancellor... Felt funny and awkward that we actually had to bow to the Chancellor with one hand touching the rim of the mortar board before we walk towards him to receive the folder. Fang and I were abit nervous at first as we were worried that we might fall or trip on the stage... And we kept practising to touch the rim of our mortar board when we were still seated while waiting for our turn to go up the stage... HAHAA!!!

Anyway, it was soon over... After I walked down the stage to collect my cert, I felt as if I am a superstar walking on the red carpet with lotsa camera waiting to take photos of me! Kekeke!! No lah.. coz there were so many ushers standing along the path while we walked back to our seats and there were parents standing at each corner waiting to take pics of their son/daughter... so it feels as though we are the celebrities walking along the red carpet to attend the award ceremony while parents and friends are the fans and reporters mah.

Okie, here's most of the photos... I have also emailed the link to most of you guys.

Suddenly, 2 nuns appeared from nowhere... Hahaa!! Narh...

After the event, we then went to BakerzIn at One Fullerton for dinner and to Beach Cabana at East Coast Park to chill.

I Miss Those Uni Days!!!

As I mentioned in the last 2 entries about how tired I am about my work, the environment that I am working in, the people I work with and the job... I was so sick to the point that I try not to think about work when I am alone but make use of my travelling time to think about other happy memories!

My daily routine while travelling home from Suntec will be to listen to my iPod shuffle playing most of Jolin's songs and some other songs which I have downloaded during my skool days. These songs somehow always bring back those good old memories of the past, especially those times which I spent with Dear and the rest of the gang from SIM.

Remembering those tok kok and gossip sessions while sitting outside lectures, lecture tea-breaks and lunch breaks, the after-skool shopping and movie outings, tennis sessions and beach outings - the times we spent at Palawan and Sunset Bay and of coz not forgetting the fun and laughters we had in Melbourne/Sydney (especially when I hear the song 'Tong Hua') and also our Bangkok trip... I really miss those days alot!!

On one of the days last week while I was travelling home on a double decker bus, came this young couple in JC uniform who sat in front of me. The gal then fell asleep on the guy's shoulder... I dunno why but I could feel my eyes becoming more and more watery as the scene sort of reminded me of one of those days when Dear sent me home from skool after lecture. I suddenly became emotionally sad bcoz I know that it is impossible now to bring me back to those days when life was so free and easy without worries about work, yet time could be spent with my Dear and friends almost everyday... Then again, I think these memories made me feel really sweet and warm inside, especially after an entire day of stress and unhappiness faced at work.

However, the sad thing is that most of us have already started working, with each leading a different lifestyle, we hardly have the time to meet up with one another now... Life has become ultimately boring!! Although the phase of transiting from a student to a working adult lifestyle is something that everyone needs to go through... For me, I am still struggling very hard to settle on my working life...

Seeing and knowing many people of my age have already settled down and have a stable career by now. Sometimes I wish that I am already in that phase bcoz I think I am getting old and lagging behind as I have yet to even get settled down on my job, not to mention that this is just a contract job. Sigh... I guessed this is the so-called peer pressure bah. =S

Anyway, our graduation ceremony is on this coming Friday! Hehee... I am looking forward to see all of us reunite again!!! =D

P/S: The following peeps, please keep this Saturday free k... you are invited for a treat!!

1) Shufang
2) Tammie
3) Eileen
4) Kelvin
5) Kevin
6) Gena
7) Damone
8) Mark Leong
9) Christine

My Hates and Worries about Work...

Just when I thought bank training is fun, here comes the sad part of it... The management has once again showed their stun by shortening our training by 1 day, ending it on this Thursday, without giving us prior notice!! This also means that I have to go back to the platform to answer calls again... worst still, not just credit cards but INCLUDING bank related calls this time!!! Arrrgh!!! Stress...!!!

We have recently touched on topics on some bank loans... As usual, I am very slow in catching what the trainer was explaining... and I meant real slow, probably due to my lack of general banking knowledge. Thus I am always 1 to 2 points behind time of what the trainer explained. Sometimes, I hate myself for being so slow in everything... slow in hearing, slow in copying, slow in learning, slow in practically everything... I cannot imagine how slow I will be again when handling bank calls from this Friday onwards.

Actually I have been brooding over a couple of things which happened during these 2 weeks... mostly caused by hidden doubts. Well, probably I can only blame it on myself for not being sociable enough at mingling with others. Was kind of disappointed with myself over certain issues. This is where I realized that 'guan xi' plays an important role in the working life.

Apart from the above, many more things have also caused me to feel damn de-motivated to go to work now. There's too many reasons that I can think of... I can simply list down 10 reasons:

1) I hate waking up in the morning - no matter how early I went to bed the previous night, I will still feel tired in the next morning as long as I know that my itinerary for the day = work

2) I hate taking a cab that costs me approx. $20 (including the $7 for ERP) each morning just to prevent me from being late for work

3) I am so irritated bcoz they are going to close the roads near Suntec area due to IMF which directly affects how I travel to work from 10-20 September

4) I hate to commit myself to work, simply bcoz I draw a line very clearly between my work and personal time, so I hate staying back after office hours to clear up emails and do follow-ups!!

5) I hate that this job eventually needs me to go into shift work

6) I hate putting on a mask, meaning having to pretend to be so damn humble in front of those old birds with bloody attitude problems and stuck up superiors just to seek their help or advice on certain handling procedures, despite them giving us the "what the fcuk you want from me??" attitude!!

7) I hate to clear my email inbox that is always bombarded with mails and notices which 1/2 the time I do not understand what it is talking about and furthermore, we do not even have the time to read them!!

8) I hate to do those stupid online compliance tests/quizzes which is such a waste of my time!!

9) I hate doing follow-ups of dispute cases, especially for irritating, unreasonable, lazy and dumbass customers!!!

10) I hate it when the supervisors bark at us to go on ready to wait for calls to come in when we are still stuck at trying to figure out the right procedures to handle or follow-up on the last customer's request

Finally On Bank Training Now

After our long awaited days on the platform, Charmaine and I have finally started our bank training yesterday!!

In fact, we were previously told that the training will start from 14th to 25th August. To our disappointment, only when we arrived at work on Monday (14th August), one of our superiors then told Charmaine that there is no training on that day, instead it will only start on Tuesday. Well, she conveniently forgot about informing us about the change in training dates!! What the ....?!!

Anyway, since training started yesterday... I would say that I am very glad to be in this training group!! A reason being that one of the trainees is actually my ex-classmates from my primary school - Debbie. Thus, I feel quite comfortable to be training together with her! Furthermore, this batch of CPOs clique better with Charmaine and I as they are also Chinese-speaking and of the same frequency as us. All siao siao one!! Hahaa!! Not to mention the CPOs... even our trainer (who is one of the shift-team supervisors) also clique with all of us very well!! Hehee... I think the way that she chit-chats with us, be it during training, lunch or just tea/toilet breaks, she really makes me feel so at ease as if she is just like one of us!!

Frankly speaking, I am starting to wake up later and later each morning to go to work these days... Feeling very sianz of work now!! But one thing I know for sure is that I am starting to appreciate my UM for putting Charmaine and me into this training batch. Besides that, I definitely find this trainer more patient and willing to train us compared to our previous trainer on credit card products. This time, I will not hold back to ask questions even when I am in doubt.

Sometimes I thought to myself during training: We seems to be spending more time talking about other interesting topics rather than on our training topics. Hahaa!! And I think it seems that we are taking alot of breaks in between our training... Apart from toilet and tea breaks, I think very often we also tend to sidetrack to some gossips or other common topics and then spend about 15-20mins chit-chatting on them, which most of the time eats into our training time!! By right, I seriously think that this should not be happening!! But... by left, I think this is why I am enjoying training now!!! Kekekeke.... =P

Well, I failed my first test on banking today... As usual lah! Sigh... I am always one of the lousier ones... Fortunately our trainer is nice and smart enough to give us a re-test on the spot by instantly coming up with another 2 questions for those who failed, while those who passed treated the 2 questions as practice exercises! I think my trainer also wants to let everyone pass so as to get it over and done with bah...

I got 77% for the test (only 80% or more then considered as pass), while my re-test scored 95%!! But I think the re-test is much easier as there's only 2 questions to do, while the actual test has got 10 questions in total.

I pray that I can get one-time pass for all my tests. Please please please!!... Please grant me luck, intelligence and knowledge to do the upcoming tests well!!... =D

Visiting Places Where We Less Frequent...

It's been a very relaxing weekend for me this week spending quality time with my Deardear. Yesterday after work, Dear came over to my place to accompany me since we had no idea of what to do and where to go...

We had home-cooked porridge for lunch and I spent the rest of my time sleeping while Dear surfed the net. Soon he also joined me in lala-land and we slept till about 6pm!!

We then had intentions to go out for dinner but we really did not know where to dine... Actually, both of us has been thinking to go to Corduroy & Finch at Bukit Timah but we did not know the exact location.

Good thing that my dad lent us his car since he was not going to use it last night. Kekeke... Since we managed to borrow the car, Dear decided to go check out Corduroy & Finch.

Well, we drove along the same route as though we were previously driving to skool... and when we reached Sixth Ave, we also saw Corduroy & Finch located at one of the 2-storeys building along the road. It was so easy to find it and we thought that it would be located in some ulu pandan lane. Hahaa...

Anyway, we turn into Sixth Ave and realized that there was actually a small shopping centre inside. So we turned in to park our car in the basement carpark and went to explore the area. The shopping centre is indeed very small bcoz it only has a Cold Storage supermarket, a Coffee Bean Cafe and a Venezia Ice Cream shop inside.

While walking to Corduroy & Finch, we saw quite a lot of cafes and restaurants along that stretch. Think they cater to most ang-mohs and rich people staying in that area!! And few of them seems quite crowded. When we arrived outside Corduroy & Finch, we were quite fascinated by the decor of the restaurant!! Though our 1st intention was only to go and see see look look, we felt very tempted to eat there as the desserts placed on the other customers' table look really unique!!! And so... we stepped in and asked for a table for two! Hehehee...

Too bad that the tables on the 2nd storey were fully taken up, so they showed us to a high table for two!! Although the waiter thought that we would prefer the normal type of table, I think the high table is fine coz it's something different and that I have a platform beside me to place my bag.

We took quite long to go thru the menu... many dishes seem interesting but there were quite a few dishes with names that I do not understand too!! It's the language they used in the menu... too ang-moh already!! Anyway, there is this waiter called James who took our orders and served us. He is very friendly as he kept making conversations with us and also made it a point to ask us for our comments on the food we ate. He even gave Dear his contact number. Kekeke... But I don't think he is gay bah... In fact, I find that he looks very much like my cousin Roy.

Apart from the service, we had a very filling and satisfying meal there! Everything we ordered was yum yum, especially the dessert sampler platter!! The apple crumpler is very very good, the chocolate carre/royal is chocolaty rich and sinful, and the strawberry tiramisu was a surprise from the waiter!! All these made the cheesecake tasted so ordinary... Love the drink called strawberry nektar too!! We are sure to go back there again to try their other drinks and desserts!! =D

After dinner, Dear then drove me to Rochester Park to take a look at One Rochester. There are many other cafes and restaurants there too!! But they all look very high-class and expensive! Maybe we should go there some day when we feel rich! Hahaa!!

Then Dear also drove to the new golf course at Tanjong Rhu. It looked like it's still open at 12 midnight but there was not a single person inside... seems quite scary though as it was very quiet.

And after that, we also proceed to Changi Airport Budget Terminal to take a look. When we reached the car park, it was those kind that still needs us to insert the cashcard into the machine type. The terminal looks very foreign to me, unlike Terminal 1 and 2... coz I felt as if I have arrived at some airport in Bangkok. Furthermore, it only has 1 or 2 storeys... one side for arrival and the other for departure. Dear said that it looks like some army camp. Hehee...

Well, there wasn't much to explore at the Budget Terminal, so we drove to T1 instead. Then we went to the Changi Kopitiam to mumm mumm again. I had 2 half-boiled eggs and tea with milk while Dear only ordered the tea. After supper, we then went to take our ride on the new skytrain to T2 and back to T1, then back to T2 and back to T1! AHAHAHAAA!! WE ARE VERY BO LIAO HOR?? But it was fun, all for the sick of taking pictures and videos of ourselves!!! =P

Soon fun ended and it was time to go home.

My Unlucky Day!!!

Was damn suay at work today... only answered up to 19 calls today!!! That's soo sooo soooo damn few calls lah!!! This amount of calls was the record I made during my first week on the platform... By now, I am supposed to be able to answer almost 30 calls or more. Not to imagine that our call centre target is to meet 12 calls per hour!! Duhh...

It's all those stupid customers' fault!!! You guys ought to believe that the calls I took todays were 70% complain calls. First time having to handle all complaint calls continuously in a row... wasting my time and my supervisor's time! Almost all the calls I had to seek my supervisor help in order to solve the problems. Felt so bad for having to disturb her all day long... she was even scolded by a few of the customers when she took over my calls. =(

Today was the first time I was so angry and irritated after 3 consecutive difficult customers that I scolded "FUCK YOU LAH!!!" after the call. How I wished that I could scold those bloody customers upfront during the call, especially those who posed to be so damn fcuking difficult to me and my supervisor!! Just bcoz they keep their money in our bank or they uses our credit cards then they thought that they are so damn rich... and just bcoz they thought that they are so damn rich so we must service to their requests as if they are the king/queen to us!! Fcuk fcuk fcuk!!! In actual fact, they are just a bunch of fcuking ignorant and brainless idi-ots!! Well, these customers can scold me or complain about me all they want... Go ahead... I'm not scared... The most I lost my job... But God knows who is in the wrong.

The reason that I was so irritated just now is bcoz I really hate customers who ask for my name (worst would be asking for my surname as well) when they do not get their request granted... One specific case was that there's this chinese-speaking customer who was referred to me from one of the branch to enquire about his daughter's credit card statement. One thing for sure is that we are not allowed to review any info to a non-cardholder of the account. Thus, I tried to help by asking if I could call his daughter to go through the standard verification procedures first. And he told me that his daughter is now in the States... but he went on to tell me to go ahead and call her if I insist bcoz in any way, his daughter will be sleeping at that time (considering the time difference between both countries). Then he told me to call her at night around 10-11pm if I really need to call her. At the same time, he kept making noise about me making things so complicated when I could just tell him the information he wanted to check straightaway. But in actual fact, of coz I still cannot review anything. Here I am already abit pissed by his attitude.

So this time, I tried to answer his query by telling him to provide me with the details of what he sees on the statement (in this case I will not be disclosing any details from the cardholder's account since the info is provided by the caller instead). Then... he started to tell me that he saw this 'opening maiden' on the statement which he does not understand why our bank is charging his daughter. HMMMMM... WHAT DO YOU THINK IS AN 'OPENING MAIDEN' HUH??? I did not get what he meant as I did not see any transaction called 'opening maiden' in the statement that I saw on screen... So I repeatedly prompted him for more details but he just kept telling me that it's an 'opening maiden' which I didn't understand!!! So I told him that I do not understand what is an 'opening maiden'... And he got agitated that I kept asking him so many things yet I still din understand... So he started scolding me that I have been wasting his time for not answering his question to the point... The next few phrases got me all heated up manz!!!!!!

The conversation went something like this...

Stupid sickening idiot spoilt my day!!! Hope he gets his retribution!!! If he's gonna complain about me... Hahaa... May the force be with me then!! =( Anyway, I later realised that the 'opening maiden' he was talking about is actually referring to the opening balance on the statement! Duhh!!!!

Another difficult customer called in saying that she and her husband would like to apply for one of the credit cards but they do not want to go thru the hassle to fill up the application forms!! Come on lor! Fill 2 forms will die meh??? Just to save the hassle for them, it took me about an hour to explain to the customers, to consult my supervisor as well as to follow-up with the respective people from the other departments, just to save customers' trouble in filling up 2 simple forms which can be completed within 5mins. Fcuk up!!!

Another customer called in and started to kao bei kao bu about the previous customer service officer, saying that he did not follow-up with him as promised previously. Then he just went on and on repeating that our service is bad as he was being "ding dong around" (these 3 words were used by the customer... find it quite funny though!! Kekeke!!) but nobody get back to him on the matter. And he started flaring up not giving me a chance to talk or ask him what happened. To me, I just entered the picture without knowing the head and tail of the customer's dispute, yet the customer did not want to explain the story to me but kept asking me to check the records... Then again, I only saw a few lines stated in the system which doesn't tell me in detail what the customer's dispute was about.

So I tried to prompt him for what actually happened previously coz now I will be handling his case but needs to know the details of his previous dispute, he then started repeating that he is very dissatisfied with the previous customer service officer's attitude for not following-up with him... blah blah blah!!! So when I had to chance to interrupt, I told him that I will be able to check for him on the outcome of his dispute but I need to know the details of the dispute and will need to call him back later or put him on hold while I check. But the thing now is that he does not even want to give me time to check... and demanded for me to tell him the outcome immediately!! Siao!!

Eventually I was able to convince him that I will call him back after checking and will give him a reply by 4.30pm. And found out that his dispute was actually over some card insurance which he signed up for but claimed that he did not know the insurance policy that he actually signed up for yet he signed it up blindly, thus he has previously requested for a cancellation of the insurance policy and a refund but has no update on the status. After the call ended with customer, I immediately consulted my supervisor for help. She then helped me to call the insurance company... she sort of helped me handled the case by calling the customer too... And the customer also scolded her... =( Luckily, the insurance company said that they will try to settle the matter with the customer over their end.

My story of 3 nasty customers can already make 1 of my blog entries so long... I think if I were to type in all the nasty phonecall scenarios that happened today, u guys reading will fall asleep... Hehee... Or maybe some of you has already fell asleep... Keke!

Happy National Day, Singapore!!

Wishing Singapore, my island home, a Happy Belated 41st Birthday!!!

Deardear and I met up with Kevin, Gena and Mark Leong to watch 'My Super Ex-Girlfriend' yesterday... Not very nice though... Think it's not worth watching!

And guessed what? After movie, Dear, Kevin, Gena and I actually stood outside Wheelock for 45 mins to view the NDP live telecast on the big TV screen outside Shaw Centre. Then we even saw how the traffic polices cleared the whole road along Orchard for a very important vehicle to drive thru. There we were seeing the vehicle drove pass us and in less than 5 mins, that very important person has already arrived at the national stadium (just within the duration of one song performance). That was SOOOOOO FAST!!!

Dear then said that probably the driver in the vehicle was Jay Chou who has quitted his toufu delivery job in Initial D to work as a chauffeur now! Kekeke!!

Okie, we did not get to see the fireworks yesterday... coz after Mark Leong went to pick Christine, we went to the hawker centre at Alexandra Village to eat zi cha for dinner. Ordered sweet and sour pork ribs, samba BBQ squids, deep fried baby squids, cereal prawns, gai lan and BBQ stingray. Then we went to Villa Bali to chill-out for awhile.

Fang, you missed it!! We saw Adam Chen leh!!!!!! Kekekeke!!! Wasted man!! Christine and I actually wanted to take a photo with him but he seems quite unapproachable with many friends beside him. So in the end we decided not to.

Anyway, learnt alot on financial planning from Mark Leong at Villa Bali but still, I am not very comfortable to spend on life protection yet... probably wait till I have more cash and savings... coz I also want to build up a strong base for my financial pyramid! Haaa!
