A Fun and Crazy Day For Us!!!

After Jolin's autograph session, Vanessa and I continued the day by going to sing KTV again!! It's a so-called 'must-do' activity whenever I go out with her... Not really 'must-do' but every time when we go out together, we will end up singing KTV at KBox, the same goes for the day!!

So we walked all the way to Marina Square's KBox from Bugis Junction... My feet were aching like mad... coz I was wearing heels remember??! Hahaa!! Served me right... Bleh!

Okie, we arrived at Kbox Marina Square and requested for a room... I must say the KBox in Marina Square is like a maze manz!!! In order to reach our destinated Room 52, the waitress brought us walked round and round, turning corners and corners but we felt like we will never reach it. After like walking past 3-4 corners then we finally arrived at it. Damn! Seems like the journey wasted our precious 5-10mins singing time!

The computer and sound systems are definitely better than the other KBoxs which I went to, but abit confusing to operate the software for song selections coz they changed it.

As usual, we started our personal Jolin, S.H.E. and Fahrenheit concert!! We sung from 6-8pm... a short 2 hours coz Kbox said that their reservations were full so since we did not make reservation, we can only sing for 2 hours... which is enough for us. Furthermore, I am still recovering from my sore throat!

Kbox stopped our system at 8pm sharp loh... We then decided to do something silly while walking along the corridor out of Kbox... Others may think that we 2 girls must be crazy... but we personally think it's fun!! Hahahaaa...

Guessed what? We took pictures with the very big posters of Fahrenheit and S.H.E.... Kekeke... All the KBox staffs and passerbys kept looking at us... But we don't care!! The KBox manager was quite funny... He even wanted to help the 2 of us to take a picture together! But we didn't...

After all that fun, we then went to McDonalds for dinner. After that we still went to Esplanade to take somemore pictures!! Hahaa...

Time flies, soon it was time to go... Since Vanessa's dad was going to fetch her, she accompanied me to the bus-stop to take a bus. While walking to the bus-stop, we passby DXO... There were plenty of people queueing outside, mostly were guys... wonder what's on inside?... But nevermind, my bus arrived once we reached the bus-stop!

Jolin Wei Wu Du Zun Concert 2007 Autograph Session

Yeaaa!!! I'm soooooo happy happy, super happy!!! Finally, I got to see Princess Jolin upclose and personal at her autograph session yesterday, held at Bugis Junction!!! Although this is my third time seeing her at her autograph sessions in Singapore (first time at Funan Centre and second time at Marina Square), it is still my first time queueing up to get her autograph! All thanks to Vanessa for accompanying me!

Vanessa and I went to Bugis to queue up at 1pm. We were surprised that the queue was kinda short and not much crowd compared to the times in Funan and Marina... But still we joined the queue and bought MOS Burger to eat there... Vanessa kept saying she felt like an animal coz passerbys kept looking at us... Hahaaa!! Then she also said she feels that she has betrayed XiaoZhu and S.H.E. for going to see Jolin with me! Kekeke... But I think it's ok lah, coz Jolin is XiaoZhu's good friend mah!!

While queueing, I also saw 2 friends - Huaxiu and Jiajia, who also came to get Jolin's signature. Just when the security opened the entrance for the people queueing up to enter and stand in front of the stage area, Vanessa went to the toilet!!! Arrrgh!! Coz we had to show our presale DVD fan and concert ticket in order to enter and coincidently, mine was kept with Vanessa, I was kinda pissed that they made me wait until Vanessa came back and let people queueing behind me to go in first!!! Damn!!! If not I think I would have the chance to stand in the first row without others blocking.

After Vanessa came back, she then showed them the 2 fans and 6 concert tickets to gain entry. So we entered to the front of the stage and stood in the 2nd row. I knew I was too short and the people in front would be blocking me later, I quickly chose a spot behind the barricade so that I could stand onto it later!!

Oh yah, guessed what? Yesterday was my first time wearing high heels to such events!! Kinda regret to wear them coz I wanted to look nice in front of my idol!! Hahaaa!! Also thinking that it makes me slightly taller so I won't be blocked by others. Obviously I was wrong!! Duhh... Normally I would just wear something comfortable... Instead, I wore heels yesterday! Kekeke... And so I had some difficulty balancing when climbing up onto the barricade!! But still I managed to hold and balance myself on top with the use of some one arm strength holding onto the barricade and the other hand holding onto my digital camera, despite I was balancing with the front part of my heels... Hehee... What an accomplishment huh! Now my left arm is having muscle ache~! Hahaa...

Anyway, I felt abit unsecure with the spot that I was standing at though, coz I was afriad that people will push or block me when the Princess arrives. And it was super hot yesterday while waiting for her to appear... There were so many cameras taking pictures of we people standing in front of the stages, and a big one from Channel News Asia. Vanessa and I were trying our best to hide from them... Kekeke...

Well waited for 1/2 hour to 45 mins, Princess Jolin finally arrived!! Everyone started to hold their cameras up, wanting to catch the first glimpse of the Princess! She first greeted everyone, then the host asked her a few questions and then they proceeded with the autograph signing without wasting much time... Everyone started pushing their way to get on to the stage for her autograph.

Here are the photos and video clips taken by Vanessa and me...

I regret that I forgot to zoom in when I was filming, so Jolin looks quite small in the clip. And there were so many other cameras blocking me!! Felt so irritated then!! All bcoz I am short!! Sigh... But it is a good thing that Vanessa is tall and she took better pictures than me from her height. Hehee...

Soon, Vanessa and I also tried to find our way to the front of the queue to get onto the stage. Vanessa went up first, followed by a guy then me. We were only allowed to sign on 1 set of items each - 1 fan and 1 concert ticket. At first, I was still thinking to help Fang get her signature on her concert ticket too but too bad, it wasn't allowed.

Felt really excited then when I was on the stage! I remembered that Vanessa said she wanted to shake Jolin's hand but she didn't coz Jolin was busy signing all the way. But I saw her shaking hands with other people before I went onto the stage, so I decided to ask her for permission to shake her hand. I told myself that this is my only chance, felt abit scared to ask at first but still I popped the question 'Jolin, ke yi gen ni wo shou ma?' while she was looking down and signing on my concert ticket.

I was thinking that her manager or employees from her record company who were standing beside her might hurry me off the stage once she finished signing my items. She suddenly looked up and smiled at me then reached out her left hand (coz right hand used for signing)!!! I then looked at her and stunned there for 1 second before I hurriedly changed to hold my items with my right hand to shake her hands with my left hand!! YEAHHHHH!!!!! I was really delighted when and after making my way down the stage!!! Hehehee!!! Jolin is really very very pretty in person!!! Her face is so small and eyes so big! Wish I have such a small pretty face like hers too! Haa!

After the autograph session ended and the crowd dispersed, we then went back to the stage to take pictures with the backdrop. Heehee...

Can't wait for Saturday to arrive... I guess we will be having even more fun at Jolin's concert!! I want to buy her concert products, especially the hip-hop cap!

Songs of the Sea

Went to collect my new biometric passport yesterday!! Hehee... So happy!! But wonder when will I be able to use it?? Sigh...

Besides that, Deardear and I also went to VivoCity to collect our new Islanders card, which allows us to scan for entrance at the Sentosa Express stations. However, I think it was abit redundant for me to collect my new card when the expiry stated on it is still the old expiry date - June 07, which means I would still need to renew my Islander membership within the next 2 months time!!

Yesterday we finally ate at Corduroy Cafe! Love the comfortable sofa seats and the nice decor, especially the touch-sensor lamp made of clear plastic which was placed beside me!! And I also get to drink my favourite Strawberry Nectar there, coz it was not sold at Corduroy & Finch anymore previously.

After dinner, we then took the Sentosa Express to the Beach Station. We intend to go and watch the new musical fountain show - Songs of the Sea. When we arrived, we were quite shock to see the crowd!! I think yesterday was my first time seeing so many visitors in Sentosa on a weekday, a Monday somemore!!! There was a super long queue at the ticket counter for the show!!! Think we queued for about 15-20mins to get the tickets. There are 2 time slots to choose - 7.40pm and 8.40pm daily, so we bought the tickets for 8.40pm. The ticket price is $6 per person.

Then we went for a tram ride along Siloso Beach and alighted at the food and retail outlet stop to eat New Zealand Natural ice cream! When we were sitting down to eat the ice cream, we could also see the musical fountain from afar. Thus, we roughly knew what to expect in the show later and decided to film parts of it when we watched it at the amphitheatre!

At around 8.15pm, we started walking back to the amphitheatre to queue up!! There were really alot of people! The amphitheatre reminds me of the one in Australia Philip Island, where we faced the sea to watch the penguins!! So we got ourselves a good seat.

At first there were no one sitting around us... meaning no one was blocking us and we felt very comfortable with where we were sitting until... a swarm of stupid ah tiongs suddenly rushed to sit beside and in front of us when the show started!! DAMN IT, BLOCKED MY VIEW!!! One of them even walked down to the front of the performing area to take photo... posing as if she is the only one there... However, from looking at the way she sat down and pose could tell that she is from Mainland bah. Can't stand it! Even the ang mohs sitting in front were also giving them the irritated look!

That's not all that irritates me! After her photo-taking, that same ah tiong then walked up and sat between her friend and me (means she sat next to me), where my bag was already placed beside me!!! She simply sat onto my bag lor!! Bloody idiot!!! So my natural reaction was to quicky snatch my bag and put it on my lap... Guessed what??! That stupid sh tiong still dared to diao me somemore!! WTF!!!

Ok anyway, here are the piccies and clips taken by us!! Enjoy!

Just Felt Like Complaining...

Just came back from dinner at Adams Road hawker centre with my parents, brother and his gf... Wished my brother's gf wasn't there with us!! Hate her as usual!!! Always thinking that she is very clever and right all the time, likes to pick on food to eat but always pretending to be easygoing with anything in front of my parents, especially my mum!! Haaa... But her unhappy face always expose her true colours!! All she knows is to complain about every little small matter, to find fault with waiters/waiteresses for giving bad service and to 'carry balls' for my mother (curry-favour her lah)!! In hokkien, we called it 'po' or 'sa kah'!!!

Hate her bloody asshole face just now! I was just telling my dad about the aunty selling fruit juice there that she was once being interviewed on TV complaining about ugly Singaporean, yet she was wearing a 'I love Singapore' t-shirt... I find it funny while telling it to my dad. As she was sitting directly opposite me, she gave me that stern look and ignored me straight in the face, giving me the 'is it very funny?' look!! I felt like an idiot laughing to myself then... I swear never will I ever talk to her again!

Later I realized that she was angry bcoz she didn't like to eat at that hawker centre, that's why her face was so black like charcoal!! Well then why gave me that look as if it was my fault?? Damn!! Probably bcoz she wanted to eat BBQ stingray but bcoz I am having a sore throat and cannot eat such spicy stuff, so she was unhappy with me?? Aiyah, whatever lah!!

Anyway I somehow think that she does not like me... Or perhaps she knows that I do not like her too!! Hahahaa!! However it's really too obvious that she likes to 'po' my mother lor!! Even my cousins could tell when she came to visit my parents alone when my brother went flying during CNY! She not only knows how to 'po' my mother, even my aunties all like her very much!! But I simply hate her loud and bimbotic character!! She is a 'chou san ba'!!

Sometimes I wonder if my brother is really going to marry her??!! I really hope not and wish that my brother has some other gfs though!! Hahaa!! Actually I still prefer my brother's ex-gf... At least she is sweet, quiet, feminine and classy!

I really hate this stupid bitch! She always gets me into trouble by saying things at the wrong time!! Maybe she didn't do it on purpose sometimes but I just cannot stand her being so KAYPOH, being so nosey about other people's business! Or more like poke her nose into my business!! Or sometimes even my Dear's business!!! I feel like telling her to mind her own business!!

Oh yah... During one of our CNY dinner last year while we were eating at some zi-cha coffeeshop, can you believe that she conveniently told my bf to peel the crab for her?????? And that was like only Dear's second or third time met-up with her! Was wondering why don't she ask my brother to peel it for her instead... Duhh...

These few days my brother has been planning to buy a condominium and a car for himself... It's not a good sign to me coz this means that this 'san ba' will very soon be my future sister-in-law manz!! Jialat already!!... *Shake head*

Choco's Birthday Celebration

We celebrated Choco's birthday yesterday with Choco and friends!! Hehee... I first went to meet Deardear at Heeren to buy Choco's present - Ed Hardy cap. Then we took a cab to Moonstone Lane and joined the rest for a Yu Tou Lu (fish steamboat) dinner... It's near the Serangoon Broadway photo studio... The coffeeshop name is Tian Wai Tian Coffeeshop bah...

In fact, I went there before with my family... don't find it fantastic. Probably bcoz I do not like eating Yu Tou Lu and the other dishes also not very nice... But since it's treated by Choco, mai hiam loh... And who am I to hiam, it's free anyway! Hahaa! Oops! But actually I did not eat until full coz personally I think it's not nice. (Please forgive me for saying that coz I really didn't like it. =P) And was quite disappointed that they did not order the deep fried prawn rolls coz that's the one thing I like there.

After dinner, Bernard, Dear and I went to VivoCity while waiting for the rest to go home and change before going to St. James (again... YES! AGAIN! But no, we are not hardcore chiongsters hor! Just coincidence that 2 different groups of friends suggested going to the same place on 2 consecutive weekends!)...

Actually Dear and Bernard wanted to take a seat and wait for the rest at Corduroy Cafe, while I went to Sasa to shop for my nail polishes!! But after they seat down, Grace called to inform that they have reached St. James already... That was fast!! Or perhaps fast coz I was too busy choosing the colours of the nail polish so did not notice the time! Hahaa...

Well this time we entered thru DragonFly... The queue wasn't very long, seems quiet this week or maybe we were early coz it was only 9.30pm. Went in to DragonFly but realised most tables were occupied already, had no choice but to stand in front of the sound control system area. So damn irritating, many people walked to and fro in front of us!! Some even squeezed their way thru when there was obviously no more space to move. Fcuk that sickening uncle who tried to squeezed thru and take advantage of me (I meant my breasts!! Hahaa!!)!!! Of coz I didn't let him to lah, but instead use my arm to block and push him forward!! Sickening sickening!!! Hope he goes fooling around, get aids and die! Hmmph!!

Oh yah, Dear and I saw HH there too... but we pretended not to see him! Hahaa... Dun like him!!

Ok, just when I was blogging that the band at DragonFly did not perform Jolin's song on last Saturday (or probably I missed it last week), the first song they performed last night was Jolin's Wu Niang! SUX TO THE CORE, STUPID AH TIONG SPOILT JOLIN'S SONG!!! Don't know how to sing, don't sing can??!!! She changed the tune of the song coz I think she cannot reach some of the high notes!! And cannot stand her cheena accent!! Dance also kns!!! She thought this is some indian or arabian song??!! In one word, SUX!!!!!! I would rather they not perform and spoil Jolin's songs!!! She can stick to her One Night in Beijing though...

Well, last night was not as fun as last week... Coz I think Fang, Tammie and my poly friends more enjoy bah!! I mean coz they dance more (especially Sharon), but Choco they all seems to prefer to drink than dance... so I think I am not in the clubbing mood but more of just pubbing. Furthermore I also don't drink. The Boiler Room seems quite fun last night coz I like the music there, but bcoz it's over packed and we cannot find a spot to stand so we left for Movida. Movida was also full and had to requeue from main entrance, so we had no choice but went to 2nd storey (Gallery Bar) to chill... Looking down at DragonFly performances, we realized that they actually performed the same songs as last Saturday...

I was hoping to go back to The Boiler Room after chilling to dance but they wanted to leave for supper le... Anyway, I satisfied my craving for the BBQ grilled hotdog bun sold outside Movida... But I bought it at $5 instead of $3... Too bad Michael and Sharon were not there to help me bargain with the guy. The pork sausage seems more worth it than the chicken one... coz the chicken sausage is very small, looks like a normal chicken frank to me, nothing special bah. I bought the pork one, tasted not bad lah... coz I was hungry then. While waiting for my hotdog bun being prepared, I heard the same song sang by the band last week in Movida too. Chey... Seems like every week's performances are the same!

After that, we then went to East Coast Bak Cho Mee for supper. I didn't order anything coz I was full after eating the hotdog bun. Dear and I then took a cab home after supper.

I Think I Slept Too Much!!!

It's 3.20am now and I'm still feeling wide awake!!!!!! Arrrrgh!!! So decided to blog... It must be bcoz I slept too much yesterday! Yesterday I woke up at 3plus in the afternoon... My whole body was aching and restless, couldn't even stand up for long!! And my throat felt sore!! I had to sit down while I was showering coz all my joints were aching and I could not stand up straight. I was so restless that after waking up to eat my lunch and surfed the net for awhile, I felt tired again. So I went back to sleep at around 5.30pm...

My mum then woke me up at 8pm to eat my dinner. However, I still felt very tired coz all my joints were aching like hell... So I laid in bed till about 9pm. I woke up and took my shower then had my dinner. Didn't have much appetite as well. After that I went back to rest on my bed again!! I suddenly remembered that I have a digital thermometer, decided to take my own temperature... Ahaa... 38.3 degrees celsius!! No wonder... So I was actually having a fever!

Ate 2 fever tablets and a sore throat tablet from my leftover medicines and went to bed early last night. I was afraid that I could not make it for my job interview today so decided to sleep early yesterday. I indeed felt very much better when I woke up this morning. However, I am still having a sore throat now!

Thinking back, I actually slept for almost 20hours yesterday!!! Hahaaa!!!

Went for the job interview just now, but I think I am not suitable for the job. Coz the position requires someone who can travel alone to very super long haul destinations like India, Egypt and Mauritius to explore and check out new places for visitors to visit... Sounds very fun and interesting I know!!! But I am not the type who is very daring and adventurous to travel alone. I am the timid type... so when I was being asked on whether I am more to the timid side or daring side... I said timid, which I believe would have minused many marks to my interview in the interviewer's mind.

Don't ask me why I applied for the job when I knew I have to travel for this position... Reason being I was hoping that this position will be for countries that I am more familiar with like Taiwan, Japan or say Australia coz these are the places I want to go... Who knows the position is for long exotic trips!!! Or rather countries which I have no interest in!

Especially India... Hahahaaa!! Heard from my brother that he dislike flying there coz of the bad hygiene there... something to do with their toilets!! I was asked by the interviewer what do I know about India and what is my impression of India, I told her that my brother told me that it's not very hygienic in India... So she asked how would I make myself like the place more since my impression of India is on the negative side, bcoz in order to come up with an itinerary for a tour package I must convince the frontline tour agents that the tour package is good and thus I myself must like the place!! Of coz my reply was to read up and do research on the country itself so as to learn more about their culture and stuffs like that... Well, I guessed the interviewer was satisfied with my reply then she asked if I like reading. And I just replied "Alright." and gave her a smile! Hahaaa... I cannot bring myself to say that I love reading coz in actual fact I HATE READING!!!!!!

So I think here goes another great discount to my interview points!! To sum up, I simply think I am not up for the position although I wish I am like everyone else! =(

Clubbing At St. James Power Station

Went to watch Mr Bean's Holiday with Deardear yesterday... I expected it to be a silly movie but it turned out not as funny as I thought it would be. It's also a one-man show similar to Borat! Don't think it is worth the money to watch it at the cinema. We should have watched TMNT instead... Probably it would have been better!

After the movie, we met up with Fang and Tammie at VivoCity and proceeded to St. James. I have never been there before so it's considered as my first time there. We entered thru The Boiler Room as the queue was shorter. We realized that there are alot of aunties and uncles clubbing at St. James, mostly at DragonFly and Bellini Room (swing and jazz room)!! We also saw a few SIM lecturemates while exploring the different club rooms... people like Charlene and Isabella! So we just said hi and bye!! Hahaa...

Later we made our way to DragonFly and joined my poly friends there... It's been quite awhile since the last time I met up with them! Sharon is still the same, always enjoying herself to the max while we are clubbing!! Anyway, yesterday was our first time dancing to mandarin songs! Hahaa!! Maybe it can be quite off for some people like Deardear and Tammie, especially when they make their chinese live band performances so 'ge-tai' style, but I think it's fine with me as long as I know the songs that they are singing! Too bad they did not perform any of Jolin's song, or I would probably have performed my Jolin's dancemoves!! Kekeke... Nah, just kidding!! =P

Besides DragonFly, we also went to Movida where their live band performs to those samba, cha-cha and brazilian songs!! Lots of ang mohs in there too!! And there's more interaction between the band and the clubbers, thus it's more fun and entertaining!

After that, we went back to The Boiler Room since our free housepour could only be redeemed from there. I think the music played in The Boiler Room are more hip-hop. There are more blacks, indians and malays in this room.

So we continued to club till 4am with Sulynn, Jeffrey and Michael. Then Fang, Dear and I went to Spize at River Valley for supper. Chit-chatted for awhile too... By the time Dear sent me home was about 6am already!

Catch Up Session With Ex-Colleague & Kelvin's 26th Birthday Dinner

Went KTV at Suntec KBox with Charmaine yesterday in the afternoon... We sang till our heart's content since we had the mics to ourselves!! Hahaaa!! Once again, held a personal Jolin concert although I tried my best not to select Jolin's songs continuously... I hope Charmaine wasn't bored by my singing. Hehee... But I realized the songs she selected were almost the same as those which I used to select when I went singing with Vanessa, which is a good thing...

However, it was also a eerie experience singing with Charmaine yesterday... Bcoz all of a sudden she started telling me some of the haunted stories regarding the office which I used to work in and others which were experienced by my ex-colleagues!!! When she was telling me about the office executive toilet which I used to go when working overnight shifts is actually haunted and that my ex-colleague was locked inside for no reason, it really sent shivers down my spine!!! Not to mention, she and I ever saw some "things" previously in our office and the toilet, but I always tell myself that I was only imagining things... At least I am glad that I am no longer working there now.

It actually freaked me out for a second after Charmaine finished singing the song "Zhi Mi Bu Hui" by Faye Wong... coz we heard a gal's voice singing the same song coming from the wall behide me... I guessed Charmaine had the same thought as me at that time! But of coz, I chose to believe that the singing was in fact coming from another KTV room that should be located either next to ours or behind us. Whether there's really such a KTV room with people there, I don't wanna know further!!! Hahaaa...

Ok, enough said about such topics!!! Moving on, I went to meet Eileen and Kelvin at Bugis after Charmaine left to meet her bf. Went to one of the manicurists at Bugis Village with Eileen for an express manicure since we were early... Hehee... And Kelvin went with us!!! Of coz he just sat there to wait for us... After Fang arrived, we then walked over to Liang Seah Street to have our dinner at Ma La Steamboat. It was a treat from Kelvin for his birthday!!

Soon, Tammie. Deardear and Mark Leong also arrived and joined us for the dinner... Deardear came from work... However, after dinner, the decision was to go back to Wine Network to chill... DUHHHH!!! Actually we wanted to go St. James, but the guys didn't want to... so we had to go to wine instead.

Thus, stayed there till late then went back... We shall go St. James on this coming Saturday then!

Say Goodbye To Nail Extensions...

My nail extensions started falling off few days ago... It started with both my thumb nails and then those on my middle fingers also fell off the next day. My hands looked so ugly without the complete set of extensions on. And my nails has turned yellowish and dull... they became very thin and brittle too!! Or probably bcoz I have already got used to the thickness of the acrylic extensions, so my real nails seem very thin to me now. Nonetheless, my real nails have grown longer!

The size of the 2 acrylic extensions which fell off from my 2 thumbs fitted well onto Deardear's index and middle fingers!! Ahahaaa!!

Ok anyway, I couldn't stand looking at my hands with the incomplete extensions, thus I went to one of the manicure shops at Bishan Junction 8 called Colour Zone on second level to remove the rest of my extensions today! Spent $21 to remove the extensions on the remaining 6 fingers ($3.50 per finger) and did an express french manicure for $23 ($12 for express manicure and additional $5 for french manicure).

I love the pinkish base for my french manicure. Unfortunately, I damaged the painting on my nails within the next 2 hours!!! =(

Coz after manicure, I went to Far East iNuovi for my eye-brow trimming appointment and after that I went shopping for clothings... so I scratched my nails while trying on a 3/4 pants... Sigh... Furthermore, the manicurist told me not to go shopping but I didn't listen... So served me right!! Hee... =P

Although I really like having long acrylic nails like Jolin, however I must say it is kinda troublesome bcoz they restrict me from doing some things normally and I have to be extra careful when using my hands... At least after removing the extensions, I feel so much better when washing my hair, typing on the keyboard, writing and scratching myself with my real nails coz I need not be so delicate or afraid that the nails will fall off!! Kekeke... Yeah! Now I can do more things!! And can once again eat prawns, crabs and chicken wings with my bare hands!!! What a relieve! No longer suffering from 'tai tai lazy syndrome'!! Hahaaa!!

Recently Watched Movies

Went to watch the movie '300' on last Saturday with Dear, Fang and Corinne... almost fell asleep before the war started... bloody and violent movie is definitely not my cup of tea!! I think war movies, be it if it was those like 'Black Hawk Down', 'Letters From Iwo Jima' or '300', they just simply put me to sleep... dunno why...

As for the movie '300', all I see is Spartan men with very chunky bodies but only 1 handsome guy whose head was chopped off (such a pity!!), many naked women, ugly creatures and lots of animated blood splashing everywhere!! It's amazed that after all the killing, the Spartans still look so clean on their bodies!!! Oh yah, the Ephialtes looked like the creature from 'Lord of the Ring', the one that always said "my precious..." but now the grown-up version in '300'. And the Persian king reminds me of Dhalsim from Street Fighter...

Not much to comment about the story of the movie coz it didn't leave much of an impression on me except for the fact that Spartans' spirit of fighting was to fight till the end eventhough they know they cannot win.

Think I still prefer love stories like 'Music and Lyrics' with a little comedy... It's another movie like 'Step Up' whereby a guy got to know a gal to collaborate on some stuff and then they fell in love with each other!!

Just watched the movie with Dear last night... Love both the songs sung by Hugh Grant in it - "Pop! Goes My Heart" and "Way Back Into Love"... Was almost fooled by the music video at the start of the movie, thinking that there was really a boyband named 'Pop!' in the 80s!! Hahaa!!

By the way, that gal named Cora Corman (Haley Bennett) who sung the song "Way Back Into Love" with Hugh Grant kinda reminds me of Jolin... though she seems eccentric and a little slutty in the movie, I think she's quite sweet-looking!!

As for how Hugh Grant gradually fell in love with Drew Barrymore, I shall not mention it here... Go catch the movie if you wana know...

But here's the fake music video from the 80s by 'Pop!'!!

And another music video by Go West singing "King of Wishful Thinking"... This has nothing to do with the movie, just that I think it has the same cheesy effect! Look at the way the singer is dancing... Ahahaa!!

Then, of coz not forgetting the love song which kept ringing in my head after the movie!

BBQ Session @ Sentosa Costa Sands...

Well, I just went to Eileen's chalet at Sentosa Costa Sands on last Friday. We first met up at VivoCity Giant to buy the necessary BBQ stuffs, then had our dinner at Thai Express. After that, Mark Leong drove us to the chalet.

We arrived at the chalet, realized that it was kinda small coz the beds aren't like those at Pasir Ris chalets... There's no pull-out mattresses below the beds. Thus, Mark Leong decided to go back leaving Fang, Deardear and I to stay over.

Had much difficulty falling asleep that night due the loud water flowing sound that was very disturbing... Also there were a group of Malays staying next door and they kept talking and shouting very loudly when it was already 3 or 4am!! So inconsiderate!! I tried to sleep but did not really sleep at all!!!!!!

Woke up on Saturday and decided to go to the beach for a tan. So we went to Palawan Koufu for breakfast then proceeded to the beach to suntan. Eileen then came and join us around 1pm... Soon it started to rain, so we left and went back to our chalet. While on our way back, it began to rain heavily. Even after everyone of us finished bathing, it was still raining! Wondered how we are to hold our BBQ in that sucky weather!! But we have got plan B as usual... Told Mark Leong to buy the aluminium tray so that we could BBQ indoor even if it rains!!

Soon, Eileen's colleagues came and so did the BBQ food that she ordered from EZB.com... But they went to check-in to their room first, leaving their BBQ food at the BBQ area. After some time, the rain also became smaller. Deardear started to set up the tables near our BBQ pit so that we could put our BBQ stuffs on it. He also set up a table for us to sit and we laid a table cover over so that we could easily clear up the mess on the table after the BBQ.

It's a pity that we did not take pictures during the BBQ bcoz I caught a cold and my nose was running like a tap!! Thus I didn't have the mood to walk around with my digital camera...

Anyway, Kelvin joined us later after 11pm and around 1plus, Choco, Grace, Bernard and Andrew also came... By then, there wasn't much charcoals and food left but still enough for them to BBQ. However, by the time Kevin arrived around 2plus... the fire was really small and we have ran out of charcoals. In fact I think there was no fire at all, just the heat from the burnt charcoals!!

After that, we cleared the place and went back to our room to gamble!! All the guys gambled except Kelvin who was the first to fell asleep!! They played till about 4 to 5am and then decided to leave... Since there was not enough space for all of us to stay over, Fang, Deardear and I also decided to go home.

We reached home around 5.30am... HOME SWEET HOME!!!

Earth-Shaking Moments!!!

Woke up today at around 11.30am to realize that my hp has automatically switched off by itself due to no batt... No wonder there wasn't any phone calls from job agencies or companies that woke me up from my sleep... Thus, I woke up to charge my hp and then lay back on my mattress to nua for awhile.

Suddenly I feel myself shaking from side to side while lying on my mattress, when I was not even moving!!! Heard some noise of metal swinging as well... I think it must be some earthquake happening in Indonesia again!!! I quickly looked at my alarm clock and saw that it was then 11.54am... The shake lasted for a few seconds then it stopped...

After the shaking stopped, I decided to wake up and not nua in bed anymore, just in case the earthquake happens again!! Hahaaa...

Soon after, my mum called me and asked if I am still sleeping... She then said her office building was shaking and that she and her colleagues all ran out of the building!!! (I was thinking if that was really necessary?? Kekeke!!) Then she asked if I felt the shake just now too... I told her yes and she told me to take my things and go downstairs if the shaking happens again!! Told her ok but I don't think I am gonna do it even if it happens again...

Ok, back to my job search... I am quite disappointed that the apparel company did not call me for a second interview as mentioned by the interviewer that they will call me either on last Friday or this Monday if I am shortlisted. Sianz!! Despite that they did not call me, I am still hoping that they will ring me up coz I really like that job, kept telling myself that they might need more time to make their decision, but in actual fact, I am just self-consoling... Errgh!!

Just when I was typing the last paragraph, I felt the earthquake again!!! Going a little giddy here!!! The second time happened at 1.54pm, exactly 2 hours after the first one... and it lasted slightly longer this time!! Should I really leave my house huh?? Kekeke... Of coz not.

Opportunity Cost - Beautiful Nails Or Getting A Job??

Just went back to my manicurist today, thought of removing my extensions coz my blink nails deem to be inappropriate for attending job interviews...

Actually, I have intended to remove them on last Friday but my manicurist wasn't free then and would only be opening her shop today. Thus, I could only wait till today and went ahead to attend 2 job interviews on Monday.

When I went to the first interview, the interviewer was a guy and furthermore it is a company in the beauty industry, so although my nails caught the attention of the interviewer, he was alright with it... However, when I went to the second one at an apparel company, the female interviewer actually commented that my long nails reveals that I am very gu niang, like "shio jia" (rich people's daughter who does not/cannot do work)... so she said that this made her wonder if I can do rough jobs such as carrying stocks etc.

I did try to explain my situation of not removing my nails and even told her that they were only for CNY, she kept telling me that she is fine with it, just that it made her wonder. She also suggested that I remove them before the second round of interview, just in case if I am shortlisted. (But she actually gave me the feeling that she does not want any explanation...)

Well well, I really like the job in the apparel company and hope that I could be selected for the post. Thus, decided to remove my extensions, hoping that they will call me soon for the second interview... But when I went to my manicurist's shop today, my manicurist and all the customers there kept praising that my nails were so nice and asked why do I want to remove them???... Everyone kept saying that was such a pity to remove the crystals, especially when all the crystals were still intact and none of them dropped off... So when I told them that I need to attend job interviews, my manicurist then suggested that I keep my extensions but she will refill the acrylic in-fills near my cuticles and trim my extensions to a shorter length for me. That costs $35.

Therefore, I kept my extensions and did not paint on any coloured nail polish... She said to keep them as plain french extensions at this length would be professional enough... However, I find the length not here not there leh, abit weird... I still prefer them to be longer.

Another disappointment is that they look so bare now... no colour and no design on them... Sad... =( But at least they are still slightly longer than my real nails!

Since my extensions are still on and may still look long to most people, I am worrying that the interviewer would not accept it and thus influence her decision in selecting me for the job during the 2nd interview.

Then again, I am not even shortlisted for the second interview yet, probably they might not even select me to go for the second interview... If this is really so, DAMN IT!!! I shouldn't even have trimmed my extensions in the first place!

In any case, since I have already trimmed them and removed my crystals, really hope that I will get the job!!! Please please please!!! I am anxiously waiting for their call right here!!! Ya right... it's 12.30am now, how could they possibly be calling me at this time huh??? Duhh... Actually I mean that I am looking forward to hearing from them soonest lah... The interviewer said that she will let me know if I am shortlisted either tomorrow or on next Monday, so wish me luck!!! =D
